i see...alright...i guess i need to downsize my powerheads....i have three maxi jet 1200's in my 55g, its blowing stuff around pretty good...in my 30 g i have tons of flow and never ran into this problem....

will too much flow around a finger leather negatively effect it?i know they do not require a lot of flow....but wonder if it will actually hurt it if it has too much flow

haha just don't add too much every month or else in a year or two you'll have a 12 inch sand bed...haha

clouding is inevidable though...

i actually waited to add my live sand until i had my initial major spike because i felt as though it would defeat the whole process...high levels could kill the tiny inverts in the sand which you want....i added bagged sand then a week later or so i added some more live sand to seed the tank....

water changes are prolly your best bet...make sure you are not overfeeding and make sure there aren't dead spots in your tank where detritus and such are piling up

so are you saying i would place the small rock or whateverin the hang on "soap holder thing" then put hte chaeto over top of that and then they will start breeding?

alright we were going to head out to a-z pets because they actually have chaeto...so that would be awsome if we could grab a little something which will have copepods on it at least until we get our order of copepods in...are you going to be home in the next hour or hour and a half?

how about red kelp...could i pack the soap holder thing with red kelp and have copepods livein it?

i picked up the blue psychadelic one....he's awsome...but hungry awaiting copepod delivery

i don't use them but i think they are good as long as you clean them periodically????? i know if they get cdrudded up they are a nitrate trap

yeah...i don't have a lfs which sells chaeto....my one lfs sells some algaes are there others which will host copepods?

at least it happens on a sunday so we can all just sleep in an extra hour!

okay i am trying to order the copepods and the chaeto to start the hang on rufuge type thing you spoke of...the only problem is the only place i can find the copepods online is on this site but they don't have the chaeto and you must spend like 75 bucks or somethign minimal on this site....on...

o yeah good thinking...maybe i will do that we are still waiting to have or ro unit hooked up so we are going to wal mart anyways to buy some distilled water....thanks

they are obviously in a different league..any 7 series or m series is going to be at least double what you'd pay for a z or for a wrangler...
