in my 29g i have like 10-15 snails prolly 20 hermits among others....

what are your water levels? how long are your lights on for daily? do you have good flow in your tank?

coraline is good! your fish will eat it and it will ward off nuisance algae...i let it grow all over my back and sides, i just keep the front glass clear for viewing...you know things are going well in your tank when you have good coraline growth...

we bought a blue spotted jawfish a few days ago...after finishing digging his second fort under the rocks he now doesn't seem to want to eat much...he is hovering around the entrance to his hole like he's hungry but when i try dropping food right at the entrance for him he blows it away...why is...

well then hopefully the combo will make some major pods...we also ordered some live pods so when they come tuesday i will dump them right into the chaeto and some will stick in there i figure and some will head out into the tank

thanks i saw a bunch of copepods floating in the water after i took the rock and cheato out...so i dumped all the water in too....have you seen those horseshoe crabs since you put them in your tank?

first try breaking it with your hands...a lot of times you can break waterlogged live rock pretty easily...otherwise...bring out a chissel and a hammer and try to get it as close to teh shape you want as possible...don't use rusty tools

yeah i think like 81 or so is as high as you should let it get...my temp gets up to 84 at times and i lost my carpet anemone due to the heat....in my 30 g tank my tank is always around 80 or so and i have never had any problems....

sweet it looks like one of the miniature clams they have at my lfs...they are awsome!! what makes clams difficult to house?

we picked up the hang on soap unit thing today and also found a lfs that sold us a clump of chaeto and also bellanavis gave us some live rock with a bunch of copepods on it....so i busted up the live rock and put that in the soap unit with the chaeto and hopefully this equals happy mandarin!

well i will give it a few days and hope that it will work out its problems....if it still isn't popping out its polyps then i will try to move it...there is a lot of flow in there to be honest i don't know where there is a place with decent light and lower flow
