its a pain getting them set right so that your not totally blowing corals around but its great for making sure theres no dead spots

i have at least 25 turnover rate in both of my tanks

you add up all the gph from everything(powerheads,filters,skimmers)then divide that by your total gallons in the tank...this is how you get your turnover rate

maybe he will realize that when he eats it it ends up hanging out of his ass so he will stop eating it...i suppose fish aren't too inteligent though

so is the chaeto in the display tank going to be a problem then?

we recently put a hang on shower soap holder thingy on our tank and filled it with chaeto...over the past couple days i have noticed that our yellow tang picks at it...then this morning i noticed that the yellow tang has while stringy looking things hanging out of its "behind" they are very...

they could be good i am not firmiliar with them...if they are working them theres no reason to switch...i like maxijets because they are compact and they can be mounted to tanks easily in different ways....

maxijet 1200's cost about 18 bucks...i'd return the other powerheads to wal mart whatever they may be and pick up maxijets...they are by far my favorite powerheads...way better than even the penguins which are more expensive and made by the same company...

i also noticed this product...they claim that it is used by most aquariums and this and that...blah blah blah....i stick with tropic marin pro reef...though my pH has never been right everything grows like crazy.....since day one my pH has been 7.8 and its stayed there ever since....

i wouldn't order the 50lb box...i'd go to your lfs and picks pieces out..especially when ordering for a 29g tank it is usually tough squeezing big pieces into a tank that size i know i had a rough time....your rockscape is what makes or breaks yoru tank pretty much i don't want to leave that to...
