    When do hitchhikers start appearing

I've had my 60gal tank for about a year and a half, and I'm still finding surprises and hitchhikers. They will appear!

    Bio29 question

We use the Fluval carbon packs in our 14gal biocube, and they are just fine. Carbon just filters/absorbs, it does not actually release anything into the water, so you should be fine. Change your carbon packs every month to keep up the filtration!

    Some Type of Eggs?

We found this on our aquarium glass this evening. I know I have seen postings of similar pictures on earlier threads, and I think they are some type of egg. Any ideas?

    Weird Find...Please ID!

Found this guy on our live rock a few weeks ago, but I suspect it has been there all along and is just now visible. What is it? It does not move around the rock, and its halves will pinch closed periodically. Is it a sponge of some type?

    Sick Fish, Please Help!

Yes, the tank has live rock. Our angelfish and blue tang are doing just fine and finding algae to eat, it's just the rabbit fish. Over the past few months, we have been developing this stubborn scum in our tank. It is that clear greenish-coloured film that covers the glass, and it just will not go away! We have to scrape our tank every few hours to keep the glass clean. Despite scrubbing our liverock off of green scum AND...

Lack of turbo snail, over feeding, or something in the water??

looks like algae. I had this in my tank, but we got it off using an old-school razor blade (remember when there was just one blade?) and some elbow grease. It will take 2-3 scrapings, and with good filtration it should clear up soon enough.

Help to catch a large bristle worm

Buy a bristleworm trap, they're about $15. I bought a Coralife Trap'em and it took about 1 week for it to catch my bristleworms. The trap has a one-way in, no-way out function, so once the worm is by the food, there is no escape...it works well.
