i feed mine as a supplement to formula one/two. its the older cyclopeeze thats a red powder almost. my fish love it, esp the plankivores (chromis esp). but also my corals seem to enjoy it, zoos, lps, sps. all in all a good food product.

can you post any pics? it sounds like the brain might be dying off. if thats the case look in the disease section. my knowledge of coral disease is limited, so you might find more info there. as far as the calicum goes it should not be a factor this early. lps corals do need calcium but not...

you can, but once its dried out lr just becomes "dead" rock. the dead rock will become lr again, but it will take some time. if possible you can wrap it up in wet paper towels and put into a ziploc bags. this might help keep some of the critters alive, but its a long shoot.

they arent bad to start with. i picked up a nano cube as an afterthought to my 180. i just wanted something small and compact for my den. personally ive had very few problems with it. the two main problems are heat issues (i have to keep the front lid open) and surface skimming is nonexisistent...

nice looking nano! lots of bright colors. do you have any problems with the hammer stinging other corals (ie the doughnut coral in front of it?)

55 is perfect for a coral beauty, especially if you have a bunch of lr. you can only have one dwarf angel in a tank that size though. hth.

looks like there is enough polyps still alive for it to come back. monti caps are very hardy for sps, so you should have good luck with it!

where are the presents?

frags is short for fragmentations or cuttings. there are several ways to frag corals depending on the coral. basically you get a small piece of the original coral for your tank that will grow into its own seperate colony. hth.

i cut mine back at night, mainly to reduce the electric bill costs. i keep my main pumps on 24/7, but some of the circulation pumps i cut off at night. hth.
