you might have what is called a clam worm in your tank have you seen a long white worm that looks something like a worm form out side they eat clams check and see if you turn out your light turn it back on after a few hours that could also be the problem it happened to my clams

they sometimes come in live brime shrimp they do not live long so its not something that i would worry about
