they are getting HUGE light at the top of the mountain and I just replaced all my bulbs 4 x 96 2 - 03 & 2 x 10k. I used to run just 2 50/50 bulbs - then bought bulbs. too much light?

I am about 95% sure it isn't a seabea. I've killed one of those personally because of the lack of MH lights. I didn't do my research like I usually do. This thing has been at the top of the tank on a rock where I put him a week ago. The seabea went to the substraight immediatly(sp).

Check out the LFS in a 100 mile radius for a special order prepaid. If they know they are going to get the money first and not get stuck with it, they will quote you a way better deal. And let them know you are shopping the price. Always talk to the manager - $$/hour employees rarley care...

you may want to try that red candy bar. What I used to do is put a chunk about 1/2 the size of a dime in the sand frozen. It thaws and he would usually go over there and eat like a pig. Just pic a low flow spot in the tank and always put it in the same spot. Yes - you can train a fish.

Just one more opinion. I am currently cycling my new 72 bow for a reef tank. Why don't you start with some low light stuff just to get the hang of it first. Then take the wife to lfs and when she says oh thats pretty. Tell her you can't have it in the tank till you get m/h. If she buys in...
