Is it the "skin" of the fish w/the spots or is something actually on the fish? I used to have a naso tang & when I turned the lights on every morning it would get white spots just from being scared---they would then vanish. It was not a disease, just what the fish would do when scared

I'm currently acclimating a heniouchus. I floated the bag for 15 min then cut the top off the bag & am adding 1/4cup tank water to the bag every 15 minutes. Talked to the LFS just now & he's saying that's the wrong way that I should float the bag for 3 hrs then with the bag still floating, poke...

I monitored mine & levels went back down on their own. I 've heard that if you do a water change, it prolongs the cycle?? Don't know if it's true or not??

I disagree w/TheGrog. I have found it beneficial when adding a new fish to the tank or when I've had a picky eater. It improves their appetite--as far as boosting their immune system?? I don't know.

What size tank is it and how long has it been set up? Heard foxfaces are venemous?

What else do you have in the tank?

I had beautiful barnacles in my tank about 6 mos ago & removed them cause my longnose butterfly got stuck in one. How many people have barnacles in their tank. Have you had any problems? They are awesome looking!

No problem---having 2 screen names can be confusing. You didn't know. My other lfs which is 10 min away thinks he can get his hands on a heni next week! Cross your fingers !! I really want one! Think it will be ok in a 20 gal QT tank for a week or 2?? I want it in my display tank by Christmas

XP3 is a cannister filter that has filtering pads in it along w/sponges & bio balls. I do not have that much live rock--only about 40# in a 120 gal. I have tons of coral rock and rainbow rock. I also have a centerpiece that's made out of slate. Plenty of hiding room. Everything looked good in...
