Diagnosis help...white nodules near mouth of trigger...

Sorry for the blurriness of the pics...my titan does not like to stay still. I just noticed these white nodules near my titan trigger's mouth, and there's also one about an inch away on his jaw. They protrude from his skin, and are white along with the area directly around them. Anyone know...

titan, queen, undulate, blueline, and clown trigger all in the same tank...bloodbath!

Not really, but could you imagine full-sized specimens of all these fish in the same huge tank? Man, what a show that would be... Peace, Chip

How long does it take for a trigger to reach adult coloration?

Sure thing, Bo. Here's a pic of him from the other day... I bought it from The Marine Center, and paid around $200 including shipping. Peace, Chip

How long does it take for a trigger to reach adult coloration?

I have a 3.5" titan and he still looks kinda like a pineapple. I want to know how long I have to wait before I know if he's really a Red Sea Titan or not... Thanks, Chip

    who's keeping a Titan trigger?

Mine's about 4" and in a 110 gallon with a picasso, blueline, and clown all the same size. Great personality, and smart as hell. Peace, Chip

Three or four 5" triggers in a 5-foot tank?

Originally posted by Grouperhead Hmm, 5' tank. How wide is it, and how many gallons? I'd say three. Add the humu first, then clown, then blueline. Also blue-line should ideally be the smallest of the three. I have two 4' tanks (75 and 55) with a picasso in the 75 and an undulate about to be put...

Three or four 5" triggers in a 5-foot tank?

Since it looks like I won't be able to get the titan trigger at the size I want, I'm considering "Plan B" for the 5-foot tank in my living room. I'd like to stock it with three or four triggers, knowing I'll have to upgrade down the road. I'd like to get four of them, ideally, each at around...

the titan trigger is here...reluctant eater...

But now, the question is...what do I get if they don't have one in stock? I suppose I could let the credit sit for a while (they said 60 days, I believe) and see if they get one. But if they don't, I'll be forced to get something else. There are lots of awesome fish there, but the question...

the titan trigger is here...reluctant eater...

They just wrote me back and said to send it back and they'll give me credit. I hope they can get me a replacement, though...I'd rather have the fish. I'll try and get a 5" one this time, if they can possibly get it. I really don't care if I have to pay more, it's all about getting this fish...

the titan trigger is here...reluctant eater...

Well, the point is moot. I went home at lunch today and he was dead. Now to take issue with The Marine Center's quality of livestock. Good thing I immediately pointed out that he had a growth near his tail and what looked like ich on the tail itself, not to mention he looked malnourished...

the titan trigger is here...reluctant eater...

I'm still debating on that...I'd like to keep him with other 3" triggers for a while. I certainly have the tank space to separate them if need be. I was thinking others with the same body shape. In other words, no queen, clown, niger, etc. But instead I'd have a picasso, undulate, and that's...

the titan trigger is here...reluctant eater...

He's pecked at some brine shrimp, but only ate about 6-7 pieces (Thursday morning), and has been in the tank for about two days (put in on Wednesday at 10:30am). Explores a bit, but mostly hides... Should I just leave him alone? Keep the lights off all the time? I know sometimes it takes fish...

    Trigger compatability?

It also will depend on if it's definitely going to be a picasso trigger or not. If it's a titan, undulate, queen, or blueline, then nothing will be able to go in the tank with it. They'll destroy anything else when they get bigger, including lions and sharks. Peace, Chip

Where do I get a Armored clean up Crew?

All I know is that when that queen gets 20", I'll sure feel sorry for your grouper. He's toast. Peace, Chip

    Tusk has ick...suggestions?

4" tusk and 4" sohal in a 110 gallon w/ 250lbs live sand and 150 lbs live rock. The sohal had ick about a month ago before the tusk, and it went away in three days with no treatment. The tusk has had it for three days. Should I treat the tank with anything? Thanks in advance. Peace, Chip

    Eel recommendation for a 5-foot 110 gallon?

Let me re-phrase... I don't want to take out a second [hr] to be able to purchase this eel. :D I was thinking Tesselata (sp?), but have yet to really look around at pics. I figured i'd ask people's opinions here first. There's some kind of wolf eel that's actually a goby of some sort...

    Lunare Wrasse Fat Lip...need help...

We will in a bit...we're expanding the saltwater section by about 20 tanks. We had some interest in people wanting to buy him, but for some reason he hasn't sold yet. Now it'll be impossible to sell him unless someone wants to treat him. Thanks for the help. Peace, Chip
