The responses were confusing!! I am asking if the Tang "molts" it's spikes!!! I think I got an answer, but not sure!!!

I am in a "battle" about how long the lights should remain on in my 55g reef tank. The point of disagreement is, obviously, amount of time, but the real deal is that there is an argument of whether or not fish need "sleep". i.e. no lighting at all for a period of time. opinions?

Having this pink tip for a few months, we have been reading/learning a bunch. (please respond with thoughts) I have had the thing shrivel up, move around, look healthy, eat squid, shrivel up, etc....the cycle goes on. That is just my point...it almost seems like a cycle. My understanding is...

We bought an RO unit for our sink. (well, really for the fish) At any rate, I never realized the difference in the taste compared to the sink water. It is well worth the money and hassle free. Just something to consider. :notsure:

Neil is our Kole Tang's name. He is "in charge" of our tank! We are in the aviation industry, so Capt. Neil seemed so appropriate!

We already have the 2 wrasses and they get along. We got the chromis yesterday and he has been hiding a little, swimming around a little and did eat. The Kole Tang chased him once, but is losing interest.

55 gal. tank with Kole Tang, 2 false perc and 2 yellow wrasse......opinions on adding a blue chromis?

OK...he is still "cleaning the tank" ...so to speak..I have never heard of bristle fish
