they might be blue ring octopus. live around indo-pacific area. if they bite you(or our kids) you dont have much time to live(with in a hour I think), there is no antivenin.-jmcnaz
with the live rock you really need a protien simmer, so I would use a sump with a protien simmer, then run a canister from the sump. Canisters need to be cleaned alot because they trap alot a nitrates.
Good luck,
jmcnaz
you use a filter pad?
if so this could be where your nitrates are coming from, pad traps nitrate in.
20 gal. tank is not that big, could limit how much live stock you can put in.
jmcnaz
there are only two reasons I can think of.
1. Your tank is overcrowded or,
2. you have an animal in your tank that is killing your fish.
Good Luck,
jmcnaz
If these r your 1st corals, I would suggest zoanthids(either:protopalythoa or palythoa caribaeorum) or xenia. U might be able to keep Mushroom coral.
Good Luck,
John
The coralife reading can be as much as +-2 off. Its hard to find a good thermometer out there. I have 4 and they seem to be about +-1 degree off. Good Luck

clean power heads, pumps and unless those tube worms impead water flow I wouldnt touch them. If u use a sump I would clean any bioballs(with saltwater, not fresh water) and get as much detritus cleaned up. clean any UV lights up and change bulb.
Good Luck
