nitrates must be EXTREAMLY HIGH to do any sort of damage like he said check everything, including alkalinity and calcium. If your alkalinity and calcium is low then your fish will die all the time. Everytime you change the water you lower the alkalinity and calcium so remember to add more

Its very simple. Its like molting, when there old crown gets too clogged/damaged/old then it drops it off then closes its tunnel so it can be protected until it grows a new crown

What kind of research (if any) have you done?? First off your suppose to wash the sand and if its live sand DONT WASH IT. Because that kills the bacteria making it dead sand =)). Your suppose to put the sand THEN the water. Not the water first.
Depends on you.
If you have a bad filter
1 inch a gallon
If you have an adverage filter
2 inches a gallon
if you buy a good filter (ones made for 75-100 gal tanks)
3 inches per gallon.
If your going to go 3 inches per gallon then I suggest you do weekly water checks and every 2 weeks do a 25%...
Iv raised shrimps before. How does this work?
1. Turn off fliter (duh)
2. use my brine shrimp net and catch as many cleaner shrimps as possible
3. Try feeding the other fish (I only have 6 other fish so eating wont be too much of a problem)
The part I need help with is where do I put the srimp...

Ok I got a 2 month old reef tank. And Iv got half of the reccomended cleaning crew and half the amount of live rock needed. It is a 150 gal. tank.
