    Starting A Reef Tank

I have most of those corals under the same light and they do fine. You will need to have the frogspawn and hammers up high in the tank and don't expect fast growth. But you can keep them under t5's just fine. I don't know anything about cabbage corals though. In a 100 gallon tank you could...

It was there because I was responding to it and the next minute it was gone. I actually read it to my husband because I was so suprised by it.

I wasn't referring to your post at all. It made yours sound very nice. And it absolutely WAS edited out--about 5 min after it was posted. I was upset for the OP because it was mean and inappropriate.

    Mass disaster!!!

There was a rather mean post in the beginning, it has been edited out. If I were the OP and read that, I probably wouldn't be back either.

    Mass disaster!!!

Obviously it was a mistake to add seahorses to this tank and they could have died from any number of things. But it does not answer the OP's question to why all of his healthy fish that had been in the tank died as well. Velbar--wait a little while and see if you can find some answers before...

    coral feeding questions

I don't think it will hurt your suncorals to be fed everyday but it isn't going to be good on your water quality long term. My first suncorals weren't healthy and I fed everyday to get them to open consistently. Then I cut it back to every other day for a few weeks. I've had them over 1 1/2...

    6 month old tank.

I've had 2 coral beauty fish and neither one ever touched a coral. Maybe you will get lucky too. I can't think of anything special you need to do to your tank for a coral bandit shrimp. Just keep in mind they can get very aggressive, especially if you have smaller fish.

My dwarf angels have never nipped at corals. (Knock on wood). But the potential is there. Every fish is different, you won't know until you try.

    Yellow tang in 55 gl

LOL...hate to tell you but I agree with your BF. I have a 120g and would love a bigger tank, just not the expense of it right now. It will take a long time, but you could have to many corals....they do sting each other if too close. Just keep in mind that some angels will pick on corals. We...

    Yellow tang in 55 gl

I would start by taking back the yellow tang for sure. Personally, if the angels get along I would keep them, they add alot of color (alot of controversy with angels). If they aren't getting along, pick your favorite. I've never been a huge fan of the cardinals either, they don't move around...
