Ok I figured it out, instead of placing the larger holes in the overflow, i will bring them up throuh the glass on the outside of the overflow and hide them in rock structure. This way the only thing in the overflow is the drain and returns.

Ok I have already made changes the holes that are drilled in the over flow box are now on oposite sides of there wall, this way there will the returns will not be directly in front of the hole! how did i miss that??!!

Ok, after doing some more research I desided that the sump needs more like 8x flow, and that i'm going to gravity feed the protine skimmer so that a lager part of the water will be skimmed..
