If you purchase LFS water instead of mixing your own, how much does it run?

A few days prior to picking up the tank I am going to prepare 45 gallons of new water. I did find a post suggesting to keep the sand in the tank with just enough water to keep it wet during the move and this would also prevent another cycle. Is this true?

LOL very true about people not knowing what they get themselves into. I've been researching SW tanks for about 4-5 months so I know what I'm getting myself into!! I look on craigslist almost everyday (all surrounding states to) to see if anything pops up!

I've read a few threads about hidding a pump/powerhead in the rockwork. What are the benefits of doing this? Seems like it would help with eliminating dead spots in the water movement, but also sounds like it would kick up sand easier. Let me know if I am totally wrong!
