These lions are endemic to hawaii only... hehe I live there fortunatly... Well I did some digging, and found that these fish are seen rarely in trade... Sphex lionfihes are from hawaii and hawaii only... even here at almost all LFSs they come in at about a half inch. at run for $80 to a $125 at...

Harlequin Tusk! Let me see them!

I absolutly love my tusk too! It is a bit nervous feeding him though... but they are such a passive fish, nothing bugs them, and they bug nothing... unfortuante for me though... after the tusj had been in my tank for about 3 months, I decided to add a grouper... peacock grouper to be exact...

    dead goby? he was fine!

I'd hav to agree, it would seem that it was simply not your fault but rather the stress put on him from shipment to LFS and from LFS to your house. I had a very similar spute but with a dragonette insead... very likely due to mulitple stressfull situations during transfer, and or unhealthy.

    Sump/ fuge, which ones best?

Hi, well I'd like to switch to a sump/ fuge for my 30 gal. I've noticed a slight but noticable temp change with my 350 canister. I've checked temp with out running it and it drops 2 +/- degrees. I've always wanted a fuge system but sump based. Any good suggestions I should look into?

    Tank Help

I'd have to agree with Nicetry, go with the hypo dip, its pretty cheap fast and effective, though you should get a QT for after treatment purposes. Either that or treat with a invert friendly chem, mardel coppersafe works pretty good IMO.

    Purple Lobster Killing Fish?

yups its your lobster, I've got a tiny slipper lobster in my 30, and hes killed and eaten one of my scarlet cleaner shrimps, and one of my goat fishes. So knowing that Simply feed him a half a shrimp or so, he takes it happily! Unless you feed him directly, theres simply not enough food that...

    Skimmer or not

I'd say go with the Remoras, it's simply amazing the amount of skimmate the little HOB pulls out, though it is pricey. Kind of like chillers, you get what you pay for. but like others have said its not nessecary, though it will help your tank alot!

I have had much lager fish pass threw my raccon in my tank, and absolutely no aggression has ever taken place, not once with my longnose butterfly, or my fluffy lion, just my harlequin tusk... the on fish I treasure in my tank and he can't even...
