does running a protein skimmer suck up calcium in the reef?

i have had 1 for about 2 months, i cleaned it, and now i dont know if its working right, cause there are tiny bubbles coming out. can somebody help?

are these reef safe? any info on them?

say if your calcium level is 500, or even 600 or higher. is it deadly to fish and corals?

it is called balance blocks by hbh. it is suppose to be a calcium and trace elemnent replenisher

can anyone give me some suggestions on lighting for a 55 gal long? i want something that i could keep anemones and things in. i know its a little expensive for lighting , so i would hate to buy the wrong thing. any help on what to get and where to order it would be appreciated.

i have a clown, and when i turned on the lights today he didnt come out to eat, and he is doing a lot of hiding. all the water peramiters seem good. any ideas?
