9600oz to freedom: Our 75g (Coral growth picture update! 9/14)

Looks good ! My daughter just ordered several fish for her 75. This comes after convincing her that a Domino Damsel she got a couple of years ago had to go. It wouldn't leave any new additions alone and picked on fish till they died. We traded him for credit at our LFS. She has a Yellow Tang...

    New diy stand and hood

I have been behind too. With work schedule and my commute to and from work, it has been a time management issue. I really don't mind. It gives me more ideas. I have painted my back glass (black) and I am in the process of wiring the stand, getting my switches lined out and a few spare...

Ok here i go!!!! 75g tank build

Looks like you are on your way to a nice build ! I will be following this thread. I am working on a new 75 gl build myself and built my own stand and hood. I made mine larger too. It is going to be a slow build but I have the patience for it. I hope to have it starting to cycle in about a month.

Week 21 Topic: Zoanthus and Palythoas

I had no idea that these were toxic !! I know I touched mine several times in my other tank ! You should read the post in the Corals forum that tangs rule posted about these. Very informative. Hello

Hi MarySantos ! Welcome to the hobby ! I have been out of the hobby for a few years and am currently into a 75 gl build. I, like your husband have been deployed, ( twice since 9/11 ) and hope this tank does not get interupted by another mobilization. During my last trip to Afghanistan, the ice...

9600oz to freedom: Our 75g (Coral growth picture update! 9/14)

I always liked the scarlet over the blue leg. My blues seemed to be more aggresive with each other. I had some jades that were cool too

    What attracts you?

This is an interesting post. After being out of the hobby for awhile, it is kinda giving me ideas of how I want my new setup to be. Flower's post is more of what I'm leaning towards. My favorite center piece will be orange monti with a few other SPS placed around the upper column with a few...

    75 Gal Project

I have used it. It does not create the bond I expected, but it could have been what kind I used. It was the green two part tube you cut and mixed together by hand. I can't remember. The brand right off the top of my head. many on here have used it and probably know a better kind. All it did for...

9600oz to freedom: Our 75g (Coral growth picture update! 9/14)

I kinda keep her pic around to keep her memories alive. We lost her 23NOV 2010. My tank I'm working on now is going to be a slow build. I'm planing on a growth spurt her pretty soon. I build most of my things myself. Heres a pic of what I have going on.

    New 75 G tank

Nice setup !! What kind of stand pipe are you using ?? Reason I am curious is that you are using a MD 9.5 for your return pump. My overflow is drilled 1.75 " and is rated for 600GPH on my 75Gl. I want to step it up from the MD 7 that I have used before and use the 9.5 for my new system. Have...

90 GAL DONE TODAY + NEW CORAL

You say you have 2 Mandarins ?? Your live rock looks a little shy as far as the amount you have for them and you should wait till you have a good population of copepods or they will starve. You might consider ordering pods so they will have some to feed on too. IMO by just looking at what I see...
