    Whole aquarium has ich

In my experience there are only two ways to get rid of ich....hyposalinity and copper. You have to bite the bullet and use one or the other for its full course or you'll be fighting the ich forever, and having lots of fishy funerals.

    Story! add to it!

Figuring both me and the shark were topless...we would go in for a few cold ones. Man, those sharks can drink! Just then, one of the girls that was dancing stopped, and came over to us. She turned to the bartender and said, "A beer for the funny lookin' one, and some fresh fish for my scaly...

    Hitchiker Id Please

Anyone have any idea what these are? I have dozens of them that just popped up in my new reef (finished cycling, but no fish in it yet). They move pretty quickly on the glass, and they range in size from 1/8" to about 1/2". Thanks.

Hmmm, I guess so, I didn't think of that. I suppose a few coolers, and fedex would work for that.

Available for immediate adoption! Clean me out!

Hi all! We're moving, and moving soon. We had tried to work out moving all our fishies and tanks to the new house, but with closing times, all that stuff, its just NOT going to work. SO--we're going to liquidate everything we have, and start fresh next year in the new house. PLEASE come and...

    ID this please?

This is a worm (I think) that has been living under this piece of rock for about a year. He only comes out at night, and then only occasionally. I took out the video camera and was able to film a little of his motion in nightshot mode, which explains the lack of color. He is clear to opaque pink...

    Porcupine Puffer with Inverts?

Well, the only "cleaner" I would trust my porcupine puffer with are wrasses. I've seen mine eat snails, hermits, crabs, and even a tankmate chromis that hovered too close to a piece of krill. Don't get mad at the fish -- its their natural behaviour, they're predators. Most puffers, especially as...

    hair algea problems

I'm a veteran of the Hair Algae wars, let me tell you what I've discovered. Your best friends in defeating the hair algae problem are light and water changes. I actually set up a 29 gallon tank with algae filled rocks to see how to get rid of it, here's my technique. If you have corals or other...

akay akay akay I give up-- ID please

Picked two of these guys up at my local distributor -- he didn't know what they were, but thought they were in the chromis/damsel/clown family. I've watched them for 4 months now, they behave like that family of fish, but I can't find them anywhere. In the photo he's a little bleached, during...
