What do you have in the tank as far as pump etc? If you haven't upgraded the pump, do so ASAP, it has been known to lower the water temp 2 - 4 Degrees. Do both fans work? Try leaving the feeding flap open during "Lights on time". If all else fails, get an ICA

I would do a Full water change.. Not 100% new water, but change with the current water.. ***unauthorized like deleted.*** Gives a good explination on how to do a full change without effecting too much.

Are your rocks touching the sides of your tank? If so, imagine the pinpoint pressure on the glass, IMO not a good thing.

If you are really worried about it, you can get the replacement dual nozzle. That is what I was thinking of doing for mine (I just ordered a Maxi Jet 900).
