Worse case on the gluing would be to use WeldOn 40 Bob......Like I had mentioned I have it laying around the house if needed........You don't want to "pinch" it so tight that you can't get solvent into the joint......How big is the gap without the clamp......
As far as the skimmer.....Excellent choice IMHO, but that's just me.....Realistically why would you need to pull the entire skimmer from the sump.....What parts or parts would/could go bad.....Pump....Well easy enough to remove......Another option is put a skimmer neck cleaner on the skimmer as well, but theoretically the only part of the skimmer that would need maintenance would be the pump......

I would guess that the gap is 1/8" x 1" long. Going to be working on everything today and thru the weekend.

Well I put the overflow on. I'm very happy with both corners and sides but I have quit a few dry pockets that are a little too long for my taste. I'm going to go to the store and pick up some weld on 16 and run it all the way down for extra support. I'm fairly confident that it will hold water now but want to be sure. Now I have to figure out the bean overflow. I have a feeling my overflow box is not deep enough to do the exact bean overflow design and will need to modify it. Any help would be great. I'm using the picture of the plumbing parts that's on his website.

Looks decent Bob.....Looks more like issues with edge prep in most of the pics.......16 is a gap filling solvent.....Will skin over won't dry like WeldOn4.....The issue is shrinkage and bubbles in the seam, but more an appearance issue that no one will see.......
As far as depth of the overflow box.....Shouldn't be an issue.....You can make the standpipes as tall as you need.....They don't need to be completely submerged or covered with water.....The only portion of the standpipe that needs to be under water is the opening of the pipe, so again shouldn't be an issue.....The taller you make the standpipe itself the less water drop you have from the tank to the water surface inside the overflow box.....

Bob personally I'd get it back in the garage plug up the bulkhead holes and leak test....I'd only apply the 16 if there's issues........If you find there's no leaking I'd go back if it will give you peace of mind and use the 16......Remember if you do to let it ooze out, don't squeeze the tube or it will create 1 big puddle.....Keep the tube moving slowly, but fluidly......

Do you think a water blaster 12,500 is too much for the sump? I would have only two reactors going and to add another later

The Water Blaster 12500w is a bit on the big side......I think the 10000w would be a better fit......Worse case on either pump you can dial them down on the output side of the pump........
How is the leak test going......

Should I try to keep my reef flakes in my fuge and in my DT to carry over into the new tank? I was thinking I could use my live sand in both the DT and the fuge to put in my new refugium. It's only been in my 33 gal for about 3-4 months. Could I use it to help cycle the tank? I will be buying more anyway to put in the DT but wanted to use all of my existing to put in my new fuge
