I got the stand finished. Tell me what y'all think. I haven't updated recently because my modem got fried by a power surge and I had to wait for the new one to get here

1 1/2" I'll have two, one on each side on the back and the sea swirl in the center. I was thinking 2 of the 700gph glass-holes overflow kits??? The return pump is a Quiet One 6000
This is pretty much the exact same thing I have. 2 drains the quiet one as return and the sea swirl in the middle. I does a pretty nice job with the flow

Nice! I might have to add the sea-swirl later though... and it will be cheaper to have the glass shop drill the holes and build the OF boxes with smoked glass rather than using Glass Holes. So, I'm going to bring the returns up through the OF boxes and out into loc-lines. That way all of the plumbing will be underneath the tank inside the stand

Hey jas1,
The stand looks nice.
I love the shelf, I am not finished with my stand yet so I might just steal that from you.
I hope you don't post a pic of one of those deer next to you untill the felt comes off.
What plans do you have for that OF and retun?

Thanx P!!! The shelf will be soooooo nice when testing etc...
LOL not till Oct. baby

I think I'll box in the two back corners, 5"x11" use two 1.5" standpipes and bring the returns up through the boxes, out the 5" side, and into split loc-lines. Hopefully that made sense
That will eliminate any external plumbing. That was the reason for the 2x4 across the bottom of the stand also. It has 5 coats of poly on the inside and all the seams are siliconed. I think it'll hold about 30 to 40 gal of water if (when) there's a spill
