Yea, I am pretty sure I got it. Sounds good. You will have 110" of surface skimming.
Will you use glass or acrylic for the boxes?
Do you have an idea of how you want the tank to be scaped? Have you given any thought to the foam wall or maybe something else? I have recently finished the back wall on my 20L I showed you a pic of the plumbing on. It is easy to do. I think the back wall stuff looks cool. In your case it could hide you OF boxes in each corner. Lend as some hight to the background.
Sorry, I shot back to page one were we discussed rock already. I thought it was you I had a rock disscusion with.

LOL s'ok!! Smoked Glass. It's barely transparent and like $14/pane. That's why I decided to go this way. After everything all said and done I'm looking at around $175, so I'm saving $100 or so, and the glass shop is doing the drilling and cutting the glass to fit. Ya know what I mean

Yea, Your still gonna have big black squares in the corner if you know what I mean. If you do a DIY wall structure they will go away.
Just make sure the glass jockey is willing to replace the tank if he should break it. If it is tempered then there is nothing anyone can do about that but, if it gets broke out of careless work he should replace it. For me I have not found a glass shop or fish store willing to put up that kind of responsibility. That is just me. Also ask them to drill from the inside out. That way if they chip it on the last little bit the chips wont be on the sealing surface.
What kind of rock is that?
Here is the plumbing you have seen,

Here it is after a DIY wall and a cheap light to see it. The spot that is undone is where the return will be. I will finish it after I get the return figured out.

NICE wall p!!! That's your 20L right? I know I'll have to deal with losing a little bit of real estate inside the tank but it will be minimal considering the tank is 125 gal, and all of the plumbing will be inside the stand which is what I wanted to accomplish from the beginning. I definitely made sure the glass shop made me that exact guarantee!!! The rock is Utah "Lace Rock" It's actually old dead coral from Lake Bonneville, the West Desert area of Utah. So it's safe for aquarium use and the great thing is there is no die-off so all you have to do is rinse it and put it in

Thank you.
Yea I made the stand a bit wider then the tank to accomidate the plumbing. I too wanted it all inside the stand.
I am glade you got a guarantee on the tank. No one around me will stand behind thier work. It is a drill at your own risk. So I bought my own bit and have drilled about a dozen holes in various projects.
Well, I will follow along on that rock. I am very interested in how you scape it out. You have a good eye and it would appear you have some skills.
Keep up the good work.

Your only going to have four oulets? What size is your outlet cord. 10, 12,14,etc?
I'll loop in more when I need them. For now all I'll need to plug in is a light, a skimmer, a heater, and the return pump. The cord is 12 guage. The GFCI is 20 amp.

I got the tank back from the glass shop 2day
Six holes drilled and six panes of glass (2 for extra cross bracing) for $100. The OF box panes are 2 seperate pieces, one 5" wide and the other 11" wide to box in the OF's and returns in the back corners of the tank (on both sides)
So question is... (Posiden
) or if any1 else has experience in this area
Is it ok to cut a 1/4" wide slot in the silicone that is already inside the tank, so that the OF panes will seat up flush against the tank panes and then re-silicone that joint?
