VERY NICE TANK....I love that goby
Thanks.
We used it to QT fish for the 40 and the 155 and now that they're done with fish, I finally got to do what I wanted with this tank. Bought cured rock, and put it together. Not bad for two or so weeks.

Oh I know. I'm an anemone girl, LOL. My husband hates how much I know about anemones and how into them I am. It's PC lighting. I'm not putting anything major in this tank. I've had a BTA in there before, the tank is so small that the stock lighting actually will work for them. I'm not sure if I'm going to do an anemone, if my RBTA splits in the big tank, the baby will be a gift to the nano.
It's not going to be a reef (at least I don't plan on it at this second) but he wants somewhere for the frags because we hate plugs in our main tank.

So yeah, it's a reef, LOL. AND I couldn't wait for my RBTA to split, so I bought one for $45. I'm so impatient.

It's been running for a while, just water and a little sand that I couldn't siphon out. We used it to QT fish for a while. The filtration is okay and over a year old, just wasn't doing much with it for a while. We've had it up and running for the past year, first it was a nano reef, then it was a QT, now it's a nano reef again. If the nem shows any signs that it's not doing well, it's going into the 155G immediately.

ahhh fair enough:D
should do ok then:D unless the lighting fails lols, im still wondering whether my 18W lighting will be ok, i dont want to buy an anemone, find out its not, then have to quickly go find some new lighting lol.
my manderin seems to be enjoying the 10g tho i must admit, very active and theres alot of copepods in there for some reason, can see them swimming about.
maybe he prefers the taste of frozen now:D lol

I'll let you know, this 14G only has 24watt PC's. One 24watt 10k and one 24watt actinic. It's doing great so far. I mean, in a small tank, it stays really bright, it's not that deep.
My mandarin finally started eating frozen this past week

Added my last fish (although I may still add a clown goby of some sort). I bought a really nice colored Tail Spot Blenny.
I'll take some pictures of the weekend.

what kinda light do u have?
Stock lighting. 1 24watt 10k PC and 1 24watt PC actinic. Both bulbs made by Coralife.
I did upgrade the Moonlights. My husband took apart the hood and put in brighter lights to make the clam and ricordia really pop at night and when just the actinics are on.

Swapped some rocks and did some minor rearranging. I think my Yasha died or got crushed during the renovations
I'm so upset! She didn't come out to eat today, not even when I stuck my hand in the tank to try to entice her (Which always works!) I may be going on a hunt to LFS's this weekend to replace her. She was my favorite fish

A clam AND a nem in a BC14?
Research research research...
Yes, as a matter of fact I did and both are doing GREAT. And if you read the whole thread, it clearly states that if there are any issues or when they get to big, they're going in the 155G.

I was more concerned about the PC lighting and the clam, I laugh at user-error nem-tastrophes. :)

LOL .. Cranberry always forgets my name!
I'm a little concerned about the clam. If there are any issues, it's being moved, and of course once it's too big, it goes. The tank will be in a constant state of chaos as far as corals, and as things get bigger, they're going in the 155G and then I'll buy new frags again. There's an LFS by me that sells frag plugs completely covered in zoos for $6 a piece, so I'm basically harvesting them and then my husband steals them while I'm at work and puts them in the 155. All I really cared about was having a pistol shrimp/goby tank.

THE YASHA GOBY ISN'T DEAD!!!!

She popped her head out of a rock on Christmas Eve. I was so sure we crushed her, but she's alive and healthy

I'm so happy, she's such a cool fish. And I know my husband didn't pull a switch on me, because this one is still eating from my hand

Pardon the coral frags just thrown in the sand ... I want the plugs to fill out a little more before I try to place them in the rock work. (I won't rip zoas off plugs, they always die on me)

I'll add more in a minute
