20 Gallon "Diary"

Hey, sorry everybody, I know i've been MIA for quite a while, but I just wanted to update you on my tank :) I have gotten quite a nice growth of what I beleive to be the 'green' beginnings of coraline all over the back of my tank, and on the rocks as well. I lost the white anemone to the filter, but still have the other, which has gotten much larger, and is doing great! Other than that nothing much has happened, i'm down to one filter, the small one stopped working randomly? And I have ALOT of amphipods all over the place, they came from nowhere, and my nem likes to snack on them when they un-knowingly swim into its tentacles. I've still got the damsel, I know so don't even start :) I'm too tired to post pics tonight, I will tomorow my my cr@ppy phone, sorry! I know it seems like I just dropped off the face of the earth, but 'm back and i'm ready for some reefin' action!! I am selling my snakes finally, and will be getting apprx. $200 so I cannot wait to go shopping at my new lfs, whice sadly has way less than my lfs before we moved to little old

, Yuck! LOL it's literally such a tiny, tiny town :( But ohh well, gotta make do with what I got. I'm really hoping to get lots of cheap frags off of kijiji, and hopefully score some great deals on LR which I need lots more of. I pretty much want this tank to be just for zoas and palys. My new "Future Stocklist" is as follows;
- 2 Ocell. Clowns
- 1 Yellow Watchman
- 1 Royal Gramma
- Lots of Zoas
- Lots of Palys
- G. Star Polyps
Also I want a better HOB, and powerhead :) Goodnight!!

Okay, so it's only 9 days until my birthday!! Im super excited to be turning 15! For my birthday, my mom is taking the day off work and i'm taking the day off school, with my birthday money from my parents $50, and birthday money from relativs $$Unknown$$ my mother is taking me to my favourite no-so-lfs
I'm taking my electric blue hermit, and my damsel in to get rid of them. I want to get more rock, base rock to save money to add to my aquascape, that isn't very aqua-scapey...
I'm just going to be looking for some zoas, palys, or rics to start with. Do you think I should take back my nem as well? I really like it. . . I want to get a YWG while im there too. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hey everyone, today is my birthday!! Woohoo 15, so My parents took the day off work, and I off school, and we went to The Living Aquarium! And BigAls. At TLA I got 2 nice size peices of LR, a kenya tree coral, 5 Nassarius snails ( they are so cool! they look like zombies erupting out of the sand for food!! ) 3 mushrooms, Green zoos, watermelon zoos, and mystery zoos? also a little cluster of blue/purple star polyps ( colour variation of GSP ) also another turbo! I am super excited to put them into the tank, they've been dripping for about half hour now, im going to wait 2 more hours!! COMENTS PLEASE!! :) I will be adding pics later =D

Thankyouu!! The watermelon zoos, and the (?)zoos are opened up already =D one of my mushrooms like inverted and looks like a bell, so that mouth is at very tip...why? Kenya tree looks pretty upset ATM, and purple star polyps are opening back up (= I am soo happy!!

Wow, there's such thing as purple/blue GSP?? Sounds awesome! Can you post some pics?

Okay, so my Kenya tree is open up just like it was at the LFS, it looks awesome, now you guys are here for a reason!! =] I need to know, because the internet tells me 2 different things, and my LFS said they are photosynthetic. Do I need to feed my kenya tree regularily? Or does it feed off of the light? Please help me out!?

Looking closely at mine....depending on the light it could appear to have a slight shimmer on it....

Nope, not sand looks like it is a part of the coral, not sticking out and not thick, just lightly spread out over the coral?

Okay =] It seems happy so, it must be fine!! I love going to The Living Aquarium, the guy there runs the shop with his dad, his name is Steve, and he is super nice! He didn't give me any tax, and he was cutting down the prices, I could tell :) I can't wait for my next trip back, I plan on getting more LR and snails for sure! I also want to get some clowns and few crabs. XD I love it when this hobby pays off!!

AH YES...the good days......they are well worth it.....just remember.....sometimes things go wrong (I KNOW THIS) LOL....But they do eventually get better ( I know this too)

OH BTW! My tank is literally INFESTED with amphipods, is there ever a time when too many is bad? Because they are EVERYWHERE, and in a HUGE abundance!...?
