415 Gallon Plywood Tank Build

Sorry for lack of progress and updating......As some of the previous pics showed the bulkhead holes already cut out in the back panel for the CL....Here is a pic of the mock up of the molds before I start pouring the inside of the bulkhead holes with clear epoxy. Even though water should never reach this area due to the bulkhead it is a little piece of mind IMO.....
This pic you can see I used the cutout from the holesaw as my jig to pour the epoxy....I wrapped the wood plug in packing tape since
the epoxy doesn't bond to the packing tape.

This pic show both jigs in place and always before I pour I double check that I have the tank level. Makes it easier when pouring the epoxy.

A couple more pics......For you guys and gals that think we are talking a foreign language when we talk different schedules "referring" to bulkheads and PVC pipe.....Here is an example of a schedule 80 2" bulkhead. You might look at the price of these and choke a bit, but when you compare them to regular schedule 40 bulkheads you'll see the brawn of the bulkheads.
Sched 80 2" bulkheads....See the thickness of the gasket. The beef of material used...

Sched 80 on the left Sched 40 on the right.....See the size difference and thickness....

I think you guys remember a litle discussion a while ago about drivers and the pros and cons.....Corey and I had been talking about the drawbacks of using several ELN 60-48's......Here's a thread for you Corey and Josh.....The guy used if my eyes aren't deceiving me 12 ELN 60-48's. I thought I read somewhere in the range of 200 + LEDs......
I'm confused as far as how he wired??? I'm assuming he wired them parellel???? Looking for a little clarification. Here's the link to the thread.

Corey with what we had discussed about making the front, back and sides pivotable it would work perfect.....He has 8" pieces still and could conjure up a way to make the 8" piece tilt to give me coverage under the wide eurobracing as well as on the front and back of those 2 pieces........
Here's a link to a site I found interesting as well.......

He wired them in parallel. The 60-48's can run two stings of 12 in that fashion. Says he's running 240 leds. He must not have wired every single driver in parallel though. From the pics those reds sure do look like they make reds pop.

I thought he was running them in parallel....I wonder if he has any issue with heat build up in the wiring or stuff going crazy in his house because of harmonics with all the drivers???? I might shoot him a PM and ask if any issues running all the drivers.....

I had caught a thread somewhere where a guy was checking the wattage output of his fixture and it was higher than what it should have been. Somebody possibly Kcress had touched upon the notion of the harmonics causing false readings. Then someone asked if it could cause faulse readings with a multi meter, what might it do to the house meter? Never did see a response for that one.

Update?
Got a sump, lights made, and finished epoxying right?
Cycling as we speak?
LOL!!!!! I wish I had the free time you have Josh.....
Not any major progress....was lazy Saturday and should have picked up my epoxy and they closed before I got over to that side of town Saturday....actually was out joy riding on the bike instead.....the morning I spent laying hardwood floor in my brother-in-laws house they are selling.
Epoxy work is coming along though... I managed to get all the seams epoxied in clear over the black to make them all shiny again. Of course ran out, but I have the back, bottom and underside of the euro bracing to do in clear yet. The hardest part is waiting for it to set up, and you want a pretty dust free environment while it's setting up. Down side is I think I tore my knee up pretty good muscling the tank around.... I'd rather it be my knee than having my back redone.
As far as the sump goes Josh, that has been done ages ago. I did the sump before I ever started on the tank. There are a pic or 2 of the sump build in progress. Didn't take tons of pics of it, but if you like I can snap a few an show you!!!!! It's huge!!!! Hopefully Tuesday after my Dr's appointment I can get over to my buddies for some acrylic to build the frag and quarantine setup. I've finally convinced myself to clear coat the epoxied floor in the fishroom. Corey had advise me to do it ages ago though!!!!!
I'm 99% sure I will be going with acrylic panels in the tank. Price isn't bad and I think it will work into my master plan a little better than glass. I'm still planning to route a lip for the acrylic to sit inside the front frame. I think it could depending how deep I cut bring the panel somewhat flush with the front of the tank. Not entirely sure if I need to radius the corners of the rabbet cuts though. I honestly don't believe it would cause any undue stress on the panels if the were just straight cut????
Having a big sale this coming weekend at That Fish Place, so planning on picking up a bunch of salt, and depending what deals the have on skimmers and pumps. Skimmer will be the SRO 5000 not entirely sure on sizing though, and return pump will be Reeflo. Looking at the Dart Hybrid pump....
Josh need good sources still on LEDS and drivers.... I haven't heard anything back from the guy I had been talking to at Peak Power. Sent him an email Friday since he gave me a 2 week lead time and actually wednrlesday was 2 weeks. Hopefully I will hear something on the driver end of things!!!!

Hey, Shawn I've seen the HLG 185H-48B drivers on a couple of sites. I'm looking at one site now that's offering them for $97 a piece. I saved the link.
