Hey Corey....Thanks!!!!!! Doing a little better.....I still can't handle my extra spicy food and it's killing me......I need the family to take a long trip (weekend) so I can get some solid work done
Aye...I am of the opinion that this a hobby and not a race. It's all about the journey my friend. Trying to eat a little healthier and not smoke so much, myself.

Ugh...hangovers!!! I don't miss those days lol.
But, you know what? Life is too short! And there is a time for everything, even celebration.

Beer pong, anyone?

I missunderstood you shawn, looks great I thought you were going to run like PH cord through the conduit, I should NOT have doubted you my friend. Your family is beautiful, thanks for sharing. Stop smoking.

PH, ORP, salinity, and temp probes will be bare somewhat.....Possibly thinking about sheathing the probe cables in wire loom, but that's about it......Thanks Al.......I'm trying....I was smoke free for 4yrs.....then just 1 day had the urge and can't put em back down.....

Skimmer has been in place, and went to install the skimmer neck cleaner and realized they sent me the wrong size replacement lid........
I never paid any attention to the label on the outside of the box when I got it in house.....I pulled it out of the box and and laid it on the table and thought it looked a little small.....I'm getting old, so I just thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me......Well when it came time to dry fit the new lid, it all but fell inside the collection cup.....Needless to say I was on the phone the following morning, and upset didn't call where I originally ordered the replacement lid from, but called Jeremy at Premium where I had purchased the skimmer from, and he was on the order with the quickness......Hats off to Jeremy at Premium.....Top notch customer service and detail.......Didn't think far enough in advance with the neck cleaner, but I have to add another outlet under the stand to accommodate the power pack for the neck cleaner.....Shouldn't be to difficult......
Finally got all the plumbing to the sump re installed......I think I've pulled the plumbing at least 4-5 times during the build to go back and re do something or make a change, but it's finally in place for good, and hoping shortly to have "salt water" into the system.....TFP is having their annual tent sale and hoping to get a little price break on salt to fire the system.....If not the initial salt will be bought the weekend of 4/6.......Planning on starting the system off with IO and monitoring levels and see how they pan out for the initial fill, but will probably opt to a different mix as time progresses.....Possibly a 50/50 mix of IO and Reef Crystals......
Did finally make the decision on PH's....As I had mentioned earlier it was a toss up between Vortech and Tunze.......The choice was Tunze and the biggest deciding factor for me was customer service, and adjust ability......Again major deciding factor was customer service......So far I've gotten (4) Tunze 6105's.......and a 6205. I would like to pick up another 6205 at some point, but not sure......Tentative plan is to run (2) 6105's on each end blowing against or opposing each other and the hope of adding (2) 6205's along the back wall to supplement the CL........Still have to order the magnets to penetrate the 1" acrylic for the Tunzes.....The magnets supplied do hold, but they aren't as strong as I would like......This is also the same issue with the Vortech's I've found, so anyone thinking that the Vortech's would have solved that issue is wrong in their thinking.....Their holding power is weak as well.....
Still working on the control cabinet as well......Got most of the cabling tied up and secured, and got the components on hand mounted.....Still have to order (3) more VDM modules.....This is due to the Tunzes and the LED lighting system I'm planning down the road.....The LEDs themselves will be at least 8 channels, so I need enough variable speed ports to be able to control each channel independently.......

Sounds good Shawn. Do you have a date to fill that bad boy once and for all? As for the vdm those will just plug into the USB ports on power strips right? How do you know which lid to get since they are metric? Do you know which I would need for the alpha 170?
Wait 8 channels for LEDs ? Are you not going with the Mitras now?

DIY will be modeled after the Mitras and Radion.......Can build a lot cheaper than either offered.....I like the coverage of the Mitras, but feel the Radion might have a bit more visual representation......The layouts of the clusters are different which account for the light coverage or spread......I have a nice lead on some drivers I need to research a little more before I get to deep into it......
Fill date would be that weekend roughly.....I'm still considering using ESV salt....Expensive, but feel that is the most well rounded salt on the market.......

I've been going back and forth between esv and salinity. Both are great but expensive. The best thing with esv is its pure mixing capabilities plus it gives you exactly the readings you want.
What weekend?.

Exact mixing is a big plus.....The other plus is you can use the ESV almost immediately after it's mixed, unlike others.....

They could plug into the Aquabus (USB) ports on the power strips or you can daisy chain them off other USB ports such as to another VDM module....I might be incorrect on that, but that is my assumption....Someone correct me if I'm wrong......
As far as collection cup lid needed for the Alpha 170 would be the 180mm lid......Before you order I would just double check size with Jeremy at ***************......I do know that ************** sells both the lid and the motor as a set.....A bit cheaper than going through Premium where you have to purchase them separate. I trust Jeremy's knowledge quite a bit more than others......
