My Chaeto.....hmmm...LOL...You know I don't think it grows, but I believe it also needs nitrates to grow too...and I have 0....so who knows...It's not dead..so I guess that's a plus

You know what I have in it, and I think it is fine where it is with fish....I'm only adding corals and stuff like that now...
MEL...IMO the clip on is adequate.....

well i finnaly got some fish for my tank. just 5 little damsels, nothing worthy of a pic, and my arrow crab from the 10. i found a coco worm in the tank too! that was exciting! Anyway, Ive decided to go with a blackfoot lion and a zebra eel. so the damsels (if they live) will probably become a tasty first snack for which ever i get first! poor things! i also got a two bulb t5 fixture from a fellow reefer that has one blue bulb and one actinic. I figure that if i combine that with my pc's i'll be able to at leaste keep some softies in there.

ok, here's a shot of the tank as of today. we went to home depot for some pvc pipe to make i nice place for the eel to hide in when we get him. I know I dont have much rock in there right now, but it's really expensive and we needed to get things for my nano. But, hopefully in the next few weeks i'll be able to add the rest of the rock and two powerheads then if everything is going well, i should be able to get one of the two fish i plan on keeping. The pvc will be covered completely by the rock and hopefully it wont be seen easily. It took alot for me not to get enough of it to make a tube running the entire length of the tank in the back. My thinking behind this is that the eel will be able to move around in his hiding spot and i wont have to worry abotu him knocking a rock wrong and being crushed by it. thoughts?

i got a diatom bloom all of a sudden! so, as i read it, that's a good sign! i'll be adding a substancial amount of rock in the next three weeks. After that, I'll be hopefully getting my lion or eel! Super exciting! Nobody has anything to say about my tubing? I guess i'm not the first one to do this.

yeah, i have 3 corals in there just to prove that you dont need $1000 lighting to get them to grow. anyway, i put the pvc in there to make safe tunnels and hiding spot for the zebra eel i'm getting. i didnt' wanna pay $100 for this animal and worry about it knocking a rock the wrong way and being crushed by it. it will look alot better when it covers over in coraline and algae. the top already has but i put rocks on it. lol.

so, I finnaly went to home depot and picked up the stuff to build a light fixture for the refuge. I will be getting cheato tomorow for free from a fellow reefer. The light total cost me $7!
I also put the xenia from my 10 gal in my 90. You can get an idea of how large it got by looking at the pics. The first pic is of my fixture, the second is of the xenia now, and the third is of my 10 when I first got the xenia. You can really see the growth in just 2 months!

I got my first REAL fish! He is an antina (spell check?) Lionfish! I am calling him Mufassa (lion king refrence). He's still very small and he is even eating frozen!
Next to come......... Zebra Eel!
still trying to think of a compatible tank mate for these two fish. Clown trigger? Harlequin Tusk?

Thanks! I'm really nervous about him. I'm not a fan of the store I bought him from but I had already gone to 4 other stores and been driving all around DFW for 3 hours! I'm hoping he lives for a very long time!
