He Ate!!! Finnaly!!! I got some bamboo tongs I used to feed my snakes (once apon a time), cleaned them with RO water and vinegar, rinsed, and let them dry. I used those to get the krill closer to his mouth and he went for it! Yippy!

I was really worried about him. He ate fine at the store and when we got him home. but then it was like he decided that we wern't much fun anymore. But today, thank goodness!

You have to remember...what would it be like to go from place to place in a plastic baggie....I think a couple of days for a new occupant to get used to ours tank is pretty normal

Your right. I just get nervous with the fish. I've gotten to where I'm really confident with corals. I'm never nervous when bringing them home or moving them around. But when it comes to getting a new fish. oh man! I sweat the whole way home, worried about each bump in the road, and immagining a floating fish in the bag. It stresses me out! But! Your absolutely right. I would be freaked out too if I were him.

yeah yeah... the evil P word. Every time something takes too long or looks off, i emediately rush to forums and my books to see what happened. then right after every body tells me to wait or be patient I go look and everything is back to normal. It's the repeditive lesson I must learn over and over again.

I finnaly got my power heads!! Gah... I ordered them like a week ago and they shipped the very next day. I dont know why they have to ship them to california then to nevada then to God knows where, then they shipped thim to a town 45 minutes south of me and put them on a truck to be delivered! That was rediculous!
We've been talking about hurricanes in a few threads and I experienced it first hand in my tank! I put in the new Korilia 2 I just got and it put out so much water that I had to take out one of the other power heads and completely rearange my flow areas. what a pain and I feel really bad for my xenias. I'm sure they will pull through but man they looked bad by the time I was done.

Thanks! Oh no! I love both my tanks! My nano is becoming my dedicated reef and my 90 is a Preditor mixed reef. Yeah, the pvc is for a zebra eel that will be coming as soon as my lion gets a little bigger. I'm still working on it, I need alot more rock for it, but for now it's satisfying.

thanks. Yeah I can't wait either. but I got laid off so it's slowing down considerably! like one rock per week and maybe the eel in a month or something. oh well!
glad to see you spread your wings a little and post on some other threads! I've been following your thread for a while now. Your tank is looking really good. I'm sorry to hear about the LTP not working out for you. You should get a bubble coral. They have green ones that look pretty cool. They are alot easier to do.

I may have missed it, but is there a dedicated stocklist thought up yet? Looking great Mely! I think you should update your 10g thread with pics too

In this tank i'm only going to have the Antenna Lion and a Zebra Eel. Maybe one other fish later on but I really only want the two.

ok guys.... lets put on our thinking caps!
My lion was eating great until I started putting garlic on all the fish food. Now he wont even show interest in his krill
. It's been three days now and I can't go buy anything live for him. i could sacrifice one of my new peppermint shrimp for him%%. What i'm wanting to know is how long will it take for him to starve himself. I want to know what my time limits are to get him to take some food.
help!

Ok, so I dont know what his deal is but I thawed out the rest of his krill and picked out a piece that never had garlic on it and was completely whole (considering he tends to like his krill not cut in half). I tried this and he took it! FINNALY!

apparently he doesn't like garlic and he doesn't like his food cut in half. This lion is very picky! Well, at leaste he isn't going to starve.

As I posted in my nano thread I went to the anual frag swap for my club today! i didn't win anything in the raffle b/c i'm poor and couldn't buy 1000 tickets! ugh!
I did get some nice frags though! I posted pics of the two I put in the nano in that thread.
The two I got for this tank is a nice 3 head hammer coral. The heads are very small but looking good already! $11
I also got a green plating monti? w/ a purple rim. I'm not sure, the guy I got it from said he couldn't remember the real name for it but it is simmilar to a monti cap and plates as it grows instead of growing like a cabbage. It looks great in his tank and I asked him to bring a frag of it for me!
Enjoy the pics!
