looking good ;)
some thoughts:
maybe a black or blue back ground or paint the backof the tank it really helps the colors "pop" out.
maybe use black PVC pipe... I alos hear that if you use sand paper and scrach it up it gets covered faster.
anyway looking really good happy reefing and best of luck

Oh yeah. I deffinately plan on putting some kind of removable background on this tank. I keep forgeting about it though. I'm thinking of black for sure. The pvc inside the tank should get covered over eventually and wont be very noticable, but for now its there for safety not asthetics.
Thanks for the comments! Keep them comming!

Well, my new lion ate really well the first day I got him home. But trying to feed him today and yesterday has been less than successful. Although, I dont think our feeding tactics are the best or the safest. We've been using our hands to "push" the food in front of him and he follows it for a little bit until the food floats too fast toward the top and he gives up. I've been trying to feed him krill. I'm thinking that this weekend I will get some squid or something a little smelly to feed him along with a feeding stick. Also, I heard somewhere that they feed in the mornings and at dusk. Is that correct? Should i be trying to feed him right after the lights turn on or off? I really appreaciate any help you guys can offer.

just a few pics and a funny story.
I dropped a piece of krill in the tank for my lion to eat. Well, it landed on the bottom right on top of where a large nass snail was burried in the sand. It popped up so fast and crawled on top of the krill, turned on it's back and proceeded to (i guess) eat it. Then the arrow crab (which i traded away today) came around the corner and snatched up the krill and the snail and shook the snail off the krill. Then he took it to the other side of the tank and ate it himself! It was really funny to watch.
