I certainly respect your opinion, but I disagree with your premise.
I firmly believe the reason our country is in the shape that it finds itself today is because people haven't fought hard enough.
But you must agree with me that incessant, arrogant, sarcastic statements on a fish forum is NOT the way to fight.... especially with boneheads who won't listen. They're digging their own graves.
I do completely agree with you though, few of us fight hard enough for this country.

The founding fathers?? What?? It is 2009, not 1809 come on.. It is a great vid though.
Again, journey, check your facts. I never said anything derogatory towards our troops or military.
I've quoted what you said. Please show me where I misquoted you and I will promptly remove my post.
The Founding Fathers established our Nation. They wrote the Constitution. They fought and died to give us the greatest Nation to ever exist.
Your candidate swore on the Bible today to uphold the very thing you appear to be ready to dismiss this evening.

This is what some people think of Obama in the military. It is made out of butter. The positioning is classic!!!

Unfortunately that mass grave may drag our Nation into the bottom with them; Time will tell. We may very well see another Carter/Reagan race in 2012.
Is anything accomplished? I doubt it, but i hold some hope... Maybe, just maybe occasionally someone will read a post and think "Hey, what does the Constitution really say". Or maybe "Hey, I've never actually read the Patriot Act", etc.

lol, that video just made me more angry Sep.

All we've heard for the past 2 years from certain politicians is the same mantra; America is bad, our troops have failed, we are bad, we need "change", God is outdated, etc. etc. etc.
As jp3033 so eloquently put it; That song and video are 10 years behind the east coast way of thinking. The marrow of what our Nation was founded upon is being sucked away. Listen closely to the inaugural speech today. Compare the speech to what the founding fathers established. You will find very few similarities.
LOL sorry Journey. I certainly didn't mean to make anyone more angry. That song just touches me every time. I watched the inaugural speech today. Our whole school did. Some staff were cheering, other's stood there with their arms folded. The kids don't really know what is going on, they will cheer for anything. Obama is sworn in and is the new president though. We will have to wait and see what happens now. My personal belief is that he has a lot on the line. I am sure that he will push for big changes. I don't necessarily think that they are the best changes, but something has to be done. Things are not going well right now. I don't think that he will have all of the answers by far, we will have to see. For the record, I am from the east coast. Born and raised

In light of everything that's happened in this election, I'm proud of this country, but not proud of the situations we've gotten ourself into. I am hopeful that our government will work things out.
But to be honest, this thread really disappoints me. I'm pretty disgusted with SteveDave08 in particular. It shows to me just how willing people are to listen to what their itching ears want to hear... and fight tooth and nail for it.
This post is futile, this thread is futile. None of it makes any difference. The sooner you guys realize that, the better. Reading/Posting in this thread is like trying to drive a car in neutral.... no matter how much you try, you won't get anywhere. This is my first and last post on this thread.
Hopefully you guys will get some sense into your heads... if you still fight, then I have even less faith in the American people.
Did you not see the "free stuff" thread in new hobbists?

The only reason I could see why they would close this is because you are trying to instigate it. Calling people racist that support our freedom to bear arms is ignorant at best. The more you post the more ridiculous you sound. Get ready for your place in the soup line.
The soup line??? How OLD are you ppl? Right

Sep, Have you traveled the U.S., from coast to coast? There is a VERY stark contrast in beliefs and progression within the U.S.
The east coast is far ahead in terms of progression, technology, etc.

That is a stereotype. You are from Georgia. One from NY might have something to say about where you are from. Would that be right? No, it wouldn't. I am sure that you have thoughts about what people in NY are like. Don't generalize/stereotype people from different areas, it isn't right.

The founding fathers are no longer relevant in todays society. Get with the now or get left behind...
What did I dismiss? I just said I hope Obama abolishes the stupid lobbyists that try to run our government and the biggest one just so happens to be the NRA, which is a proven sponsor of anti-government and hate groups.

I know what people from NY think about georgians and it isn't petty...lol But hey, i am not from here, and a lot of what is said IS very much true once you get 50 miles in any direction outside of Atlanta.

Didn't McSame lose the popular vote by more than 10 MILLION votes? Was this inauguration THE largest and most EXCITING ever in U.S. history? Did more people vote than EVER before in a U.S. election just b/c of Obama? Did Obama win by a landslide?
The answer is YES to all. Numbers do not lie.

No, you don't know what they/we think. That is my point. You cannot possibly know what an entire state thinks about anyone, how can you generalize about another entire state, or half of the country for that matter? I have family and friends all over the states and some that have been/are overseas. Don't make gross generalizations, they are rarely accurate.

Oh, nevermind, I read back a page and you have already done that....
Why is this the same ol' arguments that were had before the election? Then it made sense as you could change peoples minds, now.....
....OBAMA is president! nothing you can do...
