Thanks for the advice.....I'm going to bump up the starbase to a 4, and in about 30 minutes I will be able to create 1 more destroyer, to form my 5th fleet, which will make 15 destroyers to meet his........he is going DOOOOWWWWNNNNNNN!!!
Don't mess with the Spot!..............I hope.....

Ok,...wheeww! The 5th fleet (The Big Red....5) is on it's way to defend Alaraph 5........my 3 fleets will be there around 9 oclock tonight. My other fleet, which is attacking a planet in another system, will be there around 1 in the morning.
This is a cool game......but the anticipation is worse than "Heinz Ketchup"...............:jumping:

Last beta I never really had anyone attack me. Except for 2 guys that I took planets from. elf, myself, and a couple of other allies, took the guy completly out of the game before the end. No one ever attacked me in my home system though.

No, I didn't use the calculator, I don't have a high enough Biology level (I'm at 4) to get an intelligence report on him, so I figured it was pointless. He's ranked in the 1100's and I'm in the 1900's, so I'm hoping it will be a fair fight. I just up'd my sb to a level 5, and my physics will be at level 5 in a few more hours, then I'm going to switch to math, which will take about 3 hours to get to level 5. By then I will be able to crank out a few more destroyers on the planet, and I will have a bigger fleet than his. His name is Kgan, so if I go down, pleeeaassse avenge me..............

I ran it through the battle calc, figuring that he had a +4 to attack. Even if he does your odds of winning are highly in your favor. So you should be fine, and you'll get some good xp's out of the deal.

So if you launch ships to another planet, you can recall them if necessary to use to help defend off an attack on one of your planets?

No, they have to be at a destination before you can launch them again, and you can only have 5 fleets in transit at one time.......did you get my response to your question at the AW forum?....it's slow....it was still in my outbox last time I checked.....

No, haven't gotten it yet. I want to know the advantage of my neighbor sending off 2 destroyers at my base planet then asking me to send off 2 of my destroyers to his planet. I wasn't planning on spending money on destroyers at the moment.
I'm lucky because the Beta Quardran is obviously the newest sector and it is not not that developed yet, thus no real attacks yet.

My reply was.....I think he is attacking you.....but, I read a thread off the AW forum where you can planet swap.....meaning that if he attacks your planet, and you attack his at the same time...you both end up with the same amount of planets, but you get experience points for the battle, which increases your player level....send him a pm and ask him his intentions.....I would do the same to the guy that is attacking me, but he is sending 15 destroyers, and 4 transports, which tells me he means to take over. Transports take over your population. If he is just sending 2 destroyers to you, he may still be a friend.........

He already send me a message telling me that he was going to send destroyers and for me to send destroyers his way. He says we can gain "something" and sell it.....or somehing like that ....who knows.
How can tell what country members come from? Is there a label somewhere that IDs those flags?

What he wants you to do is called leveling up. For every battle that you win, you gain experince points. After so many point you gain a new level. At each new level you get a supply unit. You can use the supply unit build a planet up one level. Or you can sale the supply unit, and you get about 400 Astro Dollars. You can use the Astro dollars to buy production points. You'll get about 400 production points from selling your supply unit. The production points can be used to build buildings, or towards fleet.
It's a good idea, if you trust your neighbor.

Put up a level 3 starbase, and 2 destroyers, on the planet that he's attacking. That should give you enough to gain your 1st level.
Go ahead and send 2 destroyers at him as well.
You want to make sure that after he attacks, that you still have at least 2 destroyers remaining, after the battle, to get the full points.

He-he.....just kidding.....i just won my first battle....i just got the message.......apparently my starbase took him out....because my 3 fleets have yet to arrive to the planet he is attacking, and i bumped up my sb back to level 4......my fleet, which is made up of 16 destroyers, has yet to arrive.....to his 10......he only had 5 destroyers in his first fleet......that bumped me up to a ranking of 1134......... good? bad? fair to middling?.......

How many Player Levels did you gain? You should now have a trade tab. I would sale how ever many SU's you gained from the battle, and build a big fleet with that. Than turn around and stomp the guy into the dirt.

Stacy, do you mean put 2 destroyers around my planet?? Launch them? I have 2 but they are not launched. I already have 3 SBs up. Only 2 destroyers coming my way.

Leave the 2 destroyers there. They will help defend your planet. You must have 2 Destroyers left after the battle, to get all the points from the battle.
I would build 2 more to send back to your neighbor. Seems he has some idea of what he's doing, and may be nice to have as an ally. Have you asked him for a non-aggression pack?

On the trade screen, at the bottom, you should have a button that says sale. Click on that, select your SU, and put in the quantity that you have. Sale's take place twice a day, and you've already missed them for today. If you sale it now, you should have cash in your account tomorrow, that you can use to buy PP's with.

In the rankings section, under the various stats section, there are a number of flags. If you leave your mouse over a flag, the two letter abbreviation will show up. After that, click on Country Codes and there is a listing of what country that code represents.
I won my battle! I got 54 more experience points. (Not quite enough to get to player level 3 but I only need one destroyer launched at me in friendly fire to get there. The planet I just got already has level 6 farms, and cybernets, level 9 research labs and level 10 factories. I should be able to stay up in the rankings for another day or so!
