Clearly Darth didn't read the part that you had things to do that required a vehicle and it wasn't like you were going to drive it all over the place. You were trying to get it to the shop to get it fixed. I don't think certain people understand this factor.

I wasn't referring to the heat aspect...the alternator that keeps your battery charged isn't working...lol. wipers, lights, engine...I am surprised you made it 4 miles with tha kind of drain.
Sidenote, the cat is probably freaked out is all. A little grotesque, but had you killed it you would have seen a body somewhere. He is probably like my cat, It got outside (much to my immense joy) and was missing for over a week. A week later it came back. Be willing to bet the same thing occurs.

Yeash, clearly the things to do got done they were so important....and driving a broken car 8 miles, like I said...only a woman..thanks for backing up my point.
Darth (Tow trucks will take you 8 miles) Tang

Sorry about the cat.
But there is something here that everyone is missing. Only a woman would try to drive a car 8 miles after it is clearly broken and the husband says not to.
No, you are not alone Darth. She could have stopped with just the first sentence...
Went to leave at 7:30 a.m....turn car on...hear clunk...kinda sounded like my engine fell out....get out look under car...see nothing

This is the point where you take that "gut" feeling that something isn't right. No need to try to make it to the office, or shop....let's take a moment (or twenty) and find out what the "clunk" was

This would be the first thing I would do considering I work on all my vehicles myself. But, some people aren't as mechanically inclined. I'm sure Meowzer wouldn't have driven the car if she knew she wouldn't have made it there or that the possibility of her cat being in the engine compartment.

LOL...I was just about to say that...I admit...that I was mistaken in thinking the car would make it..can't do anything about it now anyway, and once I left the house...welllll
My cat is still missing though....
I really truly thought I could make it to town if I was careful.....I know better now....:(

So get rid of all the cats, and get a dog (man's best friend), and btw... dogs don't climb into car engines......

I guess the laughing icon is would be innapropriate right now huh. You won't ever see a dog do that. Like Darth said, if you just would have listened to your husband all this could have been avoided. A man would have turned off the car as soon as they heard the clunk, and opened the hood to take a look. You didn't smell any burning fur did ya. Retrace your route and see if the little fury feline fell out during your trip. You probably just got it's tail, but then it would have run off and bled to death.

Not necessarily. My family (note that I am not including myself) has one around here that I have nicknamed "Nubby", due to the fact the she lost about 3" of her tail in the wifey's motor one morning. It bled for a day or two, but I guess she still had 8 lives left. Needless to say, Nubby does not go near the minivan anymore.

Before I started working on my cars I was the same way Meowzer. lol My exhusband used to yell at me about things like this.
And it's not like she didn't consult her husband BEFORE trying to drive the car. He didn't know if it'd make it either so she tried to drive it. lol
The cat is the pressing issue. Kitty is at the very least scared but could possibly be hurt. I'd be more worried about the cat too. A car can just about always be fixed or replaced but a cat can't.

Some people just like to be rude meowzer.... You may not ever find it., alive or dead. Animals have a way of hiding when hurt, and if it lives, it will be back. That will be a very happy day for you. If it doesnt live, you will never find it.
Allways give the horn a honk and wait a while before starting up when you have outside cats.

I'm sure meowzer knows that I am playing with her, but I couldn't resist the opportunity that she has laid out.

See, this is what happens when the nice guy tries to be bad.....where as myself, not one piece of hate mail.....however, no mail in general as well. I am sure there is a hidden meaning there somewhere.................
Darth (the belt fell off, that can't be that important) Tang.

Agree with you here that something is not right...(but I still hate cats). Didn't mean to offend the tree huggers / pet lickers, but that's all I'm sayin'....over and out...
