Don't worry. I had a cleaner who did the same thing. Now I have 1 fire and 2 peppermints and they NEVER come out. They all hide in one cave and only come out for food. I think he's fine. It's normal.

how funny is that my shrimp only comes out when i put some food in the tank...

Yeah that's my shrimp too. Everyone I have ever had has been like that... Maybe someone else will chime in with their experience and what their shrimp do. They do roam around at night though and eat food of the SB or out of rock crevices. I feed pellets that sink and under moon lighting, you can see their little feelers and shadows of them in the rock work picking up pellets and scrapes and eating. You could get moon lights and enjoy them that way. It's really cool looking.

my light fixture has two blue LED moon lights so i do sometimes sit there and watch my crabs work their majic at night...
