Very nice I love when people get new stuff, because I can only imagine what I am going to be like when i get stuff.. WOO HOO

Hahahaha.
We spent WAY! too much money today. Between the 2 Vortech MP10's, and 2 ORA SeaHorses, plus all the corals and other fish, we spent over $900. I have to go back later this week or next week to pick up my Catalina Goby that's on order. So needless to say, owner LFS owner was VERY happy to see up today

Hahahaha!
On Wednesday we have another shipment coming in, nothing as exciting, although for me, I'm super excited about some of the macro algaes I ordered. I'm getting:
Cerith Snails
Fighting Conch Snails
Fuzzy Chitons
Limpets
Nassarius
Nerites
zig zag periwinkle snails
more copepods
Macros:
red grape
red dictyota (fauchea)
flame algae
pink galaxy
red gracilaria
My caulerpa and grape caulerpa is growing OUT OF CONTROL, so I'm anxious to get some of these new macros in there so I can do a big harvest of the green stuff and sell it to the LFS.

I don't have any chaeto. I can never keep it alive, in any tank, so I solely use different types of caulerpas now. I wouldn't add macro until your tank spikes and settles. And at the rate my macro's grow, I'll be ready to give you some when you need it

Thanks well I will test again tomorrow because already have the ammonia spike, and the nitrites are starting too. I will let everyone know how the tests are tomorrow on the tank. I can use any help I can get =)

Yes, the Vortech's make a HUGE difference! I have two 40's and a 10 in the 180 and a 10 in the seahorse tank now. I plan on adding one more 10 for the refugium/clown breeder that's attached to my 180 and then I'll be done. They really are a great investment. I would not put them in anything less than 20G though, in my 30, it's on the LOWEST setting on Lagoon mode (which is gentle) and it's still pushing around a lot.
You can run just one, it depends on the tank. I ran only one in my 155, although I really probably needed two. In my 30 seahorse, I'll only run one, as well as my 35G refugium. I think anything from 55 and up needs two.
He picked out all the corals and the Yellow Corris, although I've been eyeing it for a few days now. He was pissed at me for buying more sea horses, so I shut him up by getting the MP10 for the 180 for him. We split the bill (even though we're married and it's all the same money, LOL).
Yes, it's also known as a Canary Wrasse. It's still a juvenile right now. I was looking for a young one so it was less likely to irritate my Harlequin Shrimp.

You could do 2 MP 10's, or just one MP40 would probably work as well.

sooooo......do they spread really good??? Im guessing so....
i have that bowfront and that 20L....i would just want em to spread all the way....specially around my rockwork in the bowfront...
this may be a good investment as u said! They cant be crap for the $$$ LOL
thxs for the info btl!!!
Also do u think the price will ever drop on these products or are they still super new tech?

The prices haven't really dropped in quite a bit and no one is really supposed to give a discount on them, although I did get a discount on both of my units today.
You'd be amazed how much they can move and where they can get flow to in a tank. Seriously, I ran a Fluval FX5, a 800GPH return pump and ONE MP40 in my 155, and had no dead spots. My 180 only has the returns at each end of the tank and the 2 MP40's at each side. I only added this MP10 so that I could run a certain mode on the tank (Nutrient Export Mode), but flow wise, it definitely wasn't needed. I don't even run them at full power.
Meowzer only has the two MP40's in your 225, I believe.

I have the 2 MP40s..one on each end, BUT I run a Koralia 1400 in the center of the tank...and I have a cascade canister with a flow bar that moves water acrossthe whole top
OH YEAH.....I always forget the return from my sump/...LOL...that is top flow too

You can put a mp10 on the 180? I have an mp40 on my 90g right now and wanted to put a mp10 on the opposite side but was told the glass was too thick. I was planning on another mp40 but if I can fit an mp10 that could save cash
