LET ME JUST SAY THIS SO EVERYONE IS CLEAR... THIS IS A DEBATE.
NO ONE IS IGNORANT, UNINTELLIGENT OR UN-AMERICAN FOR THEIR VIEWS!!! THERE IS NOT A SINGLE PERSON HERE WHO "HAS NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT". LET'S ALL TAKE A BREATH AND TRY TO HAVE AN INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION WITHOUT NAME CALLING PLEASE.

Read for yourself this is in his words.

This is not some liberal that they sent out it was Rumsfelds hand picked man that went out there to search to find if this threat was real... so dont use that arguement that this is just a left wing person...
Your right... all this is connected... in a web of deciet... Authorization for war, CIA ties to Bin Laden, Musharaff, Haliburton, WMD's, Iraq, Oil/Gas Prices, Scooter Libby and CIA leak... all of it...
Spefically about your point... wouldn't you say its highly likely that this Admin leaked the information about this guys wife... because of his opposition to the war and evidential proof that Africa or no one else sold Iraq nuclear material.

Thanks for the links, btw. I do find it curious, however, that you don't post any links regarding any of the following:
*Oil for Food Scandal
*Iraq barring inspectors
*Saddam funneling money from the "starving children" to build more palaces
*Torture rooms
*R ape rooms
*Secret police and exocutions of political dissidents
Etc...
What I find interesting is how many other places in the world have these same human right violations.

When you sit and point your finger for 5-8 months letting them KNOW we are coming to check for WMD's....Yeah I would leave them laying around...It was well known the labs could go mobile at the drop of a hat....We are coming soon...
In the Middle east that translates into "Grab the S--T and lets get this out of here and move it to another location"...

Childish name calling and personal attacks won't help me to see your point .

You want to make the iraqi people out to be completely innocent in the fact they have had nothing to do with the way their country has turned out . When you stand and let your homeland be terrorized for some 30+ years that sadam was in power then dont cry to me about the dead in the last 5 years at the hands of our goverment . We are there to do many things that might escape your educated by pbs mind . We are there to remove a dictatorship to provide a better life to the people of the region to stabelize their nation and their way of life ,We are there to insure future generations of iraqis have the FREEDOM to vote for leadership We are there to make sure women have a vote and a say . We are their to build a nation of true strength of its people not of its evil dictatorship. So it in turn can provide a base of democracy for the region . A sence of hope for a less opressed future . But I guess the future of that nation and others like it is nothing compared to you issue of WATER ?

So are you upset that there is no water treatment or that lives have been disrupted in another country or is it that lives here in america are disrupted ? Because the first two go hand in hand but the 3rd is a completely different argument in and of its self . Again your trying to jump around and now add in another factor to your argument .

I am listening to the documentary as I work and there are some interesting things brought out. Did you know that it was Chaney who was the "administrative source" to the New York Times claiming that Iraq was collecting steel tubes to be used for uranium enrichment? Then the Times published an article about it and Chaney used references to the Times' article in his campaign to support the war effort. Neat trick...
Funny thing, I was watching old press coverage where UN inspectors and reporters were going through Iraq... one of the journalist said they were updated on what to look for with WMD sites... Well I guess later the Bush Admin outlined specific targets of WMD sites and their effort to justify the war... well the site targeted was the very same site UN inspectors visited...the journalist said there were no high power lines going into the facility... and there was no other indication this site produced WMD's ... If you go back and look at all the press releases and speeches about the authorization for war... they are all false statements...like the one mentioned above by Crimzy..

***sigh***
I will try this again. Crimzy maybe if you ask the question for me it might get a response.
Veeraj87, I don't understand your basic point or what you are trying to accomplish. You state you don't support pulling out of Iraq. You harp about the number dead due to sanctions placed by the UN (not the US) due to water problems...so what are you trying to get across? What is your end result that would make you happy?

Dude, you'll NEVER hear that from me. You want to waste your time and breath saving the plight of the world, go join the Peace Corps. Bush and his cronies have spent over 1 TRILLION dollars on this useless charade. What have you got to show for it? A majority of people over there still despise us, and could care less if we stay or go. Sure they'll keep praising the US soldiers and our government, because we keep giving them money. Meanwhile, US businesses are dropping left and right, the housing market is down the toilet, we're at the start of a Recession, cities like Detroit are turning into ghost towns, gas costs almost as much as a gallon of milk, and unemployment is beginning to skyrocket. But hey! You want to save a bunch of $#
$# who would just as easily stick a knife in your back while they're holding their hand out for more freebies. Sorry, I have no problem getting out of there NOW. Life is too short to worry about someone on the other side of the world and their problems. I have to worry about keeping my own head afloat. You'd rather see thousands of Americans living under bridges due to losing their homes and jobs because "It's our responsibility to better the lives of that region."

Too your point... we've spent a trillion $, which doesn't account for the aftermath of the war... such as all the services and medical treatment our wounded serviceman are going to need...I believe the #'s indicate this war is really a $3 trillion war...
And who is paying for it?
Answer is not us... its China, India, UAE and whatever other country we are borrowing from.. and who pays for that.... Everybody under 40.
Tell me what sense does it make for the richest country on Earth to borrow from third world countries or 2nd tier countries? We are fighting a war that we can't even pay for.
