So where did Newman come from? How many laps did he lead all day?
And who changed that human being with Kurt Bush? He was pleasant, happy and not blaming anybody? But his brother made up for that.

Newman lead 8 laps and the ONE most important lap of the day... he was running top 10 pretty much all day...
i agree Kyle acted like a freakin BABY!!! and his brother actually seemed happy and nice... i guess being on probation will do that to a person...

Arg...wanted Tony to win, but Daytona is always a funny race, being in the lead when the white flag drops is not the way to win there usually.

Yes...total role reversal. Daytona is always about who's in the top 10 with 10 to go. But you have to put yourself up there to be able to contend. It could have been one of many (Busch/Stewart/Jr.), but hats off. I really don't know if I like this New Car or not. I agree that all changes should only be towards "driver safety", but this race was almost boring. If a car sends another car sideways, I want to see either a really good save, or a big WIPEOUT. That's over. It will only be saves from now on with the new wing. Best wishes to all of your favorite drivers this season.

Texas, I lived about 5 miles from there for several years and never went. Started working for the shack, moved to huntsville, tx started traveling back to TMS to sell scanners. Got bit by the Nascar bug, so now I drive about 250 miles to go watch races. Moronic, I know.

Good race, the end certainly made up for the beginning. I'll take a Dodge win over the yota's. Chevy needs to get their game up, Jr. can't do it by himself. My boy Bowyer got dumped pretty bad by Montona, cheesed
about that one. Can't believe Harvick's motor lasted the whole race, started complaining on like lap 14'ish? even with the wreck.

I think Jr could of won but he had no help.I think it would of been alot different if Johnson didn't get wreck and Gordon wasn't have suspention problems.Cali next week take them restrictor plates off it going to seperated the big dogs from the puppys.

That was one boring race. Never did have the big wreck I was waiting for to happen. The most exciting thing was watching Tony Stewart get passed at the end so he could lose again. I was pulling for Dale Jr. but I'll pick anyone over Tony Stewart.

So I started a Nascar fantasy group on Yahoo. The rules are pretty simple. You pick 4 drivers each race and get points on how well they finish. The kicker is you can only use a driver for nine races during the season. So SpiderWoman could not pick AJ for every race.
All you have to do is create a team and then join the group.
Since it seems that most of the NASCAR fans are on this thread here is the info if you want to join.

Group id#: 36868

If y'all have any questions of problems PM me. This is the first time I have started a group, so I am probably doing it wrong.

This just in from yahoo.
Your goal is to earn more points than other managers by selecting the drivers who perform the best in actual professional auto racing events. Each week you'll pick a team consisting of two A drivers, four B drivers and two C drivers. Of these drivers you'll select a foursome (one A, two B, and one C) to activate for the race.
The deadline for picking new drivers for the week's race is Friday, Feb 22 at 2:00 am PST. The deadline to set your active drivers for the race is five minutes before the scheduled start of the race

Aqua, I hear you about Bowyer. I thought it was looking good for him for a while there. Not a big Montaya fan anyway so was pretty pi$$ed when I saw that happen. One reason I wanted Bowyer to win was because that was the car when I did the NASCAR driving experience.

I don't see a spot for "groups"

Do we have to create our own account to get into that area?

Yes it does seem like you need a yahoo account for this. But having a yahoo account is not big deal. If you don't have one I could make one for you.

What you need to do first is create your team. You do this by going to that screen and clicking on the "sign up now" button in the middle of the screen. Here is where you need to put in your yahoo accout info. Then you create a team, including the name you want. BTW you can change the name later, I did already. It will ask you to confrim the team, then on the third step will be a little area about groups. You can join the group there. It says you need the group # not the group name like I originally posted (I did edit it so the info should be correct now)
Then it is time to pick your team. BTW I also added some info from Yahoo about how to pick a team and some of the deadlines involved.

Okay...I'm in there, I think. I had to go thru about 10 pages but it shows me and, I assume, you.

Yep sixline, I see you there. My wife picked my team name, but I think she was really just trying to tell me to shut up.
