I'm the same way. I hated it being on the Busch side and having the Buschwackers come in and basically run the race. They are not there to go for points (unless you were doing double duty), but also taking the money out of the race purse that should have only been for the Busch series guys. I know that is a very narrow minded way of seeing it, but majority of the cup guys have a ton more experience than the Busch guys and they end up finishing higher up in every single race they attend.

But would the same money be there if people weren't tuning in to watch Tony and the rest of the Nationwidewackers. (it just doesn't work) Buschwackers race.

I don't care what THEY call it. It will always be Busch to me. The drivers in Cup racing are racing for the Winston Cup.
I saw a driver being interviewed (i can't remember who) and they had a graphic on the screen saying they had 22(pick a #) Sprint cup wins. I was thinking no they have NO sprint cup wins because there have not been any Sprint cup races yet. I know it is all advertising *&^% but it will always be the Winston cup or just Cup to me.
T3, you are going to LOVE watching the race on your big TV. I hope you have the HD service, makes a world of difference.

I think the names are @#%@%$$% up. For me they are Busch and Winston or at least Nextel Cup. I will never call Busch Series WithTheNameIWontCallIt... ever.

ya Scott i had that convo with my bro-inlaw last year... the media was talking about how many "Nextel Cup" wins Jeff Gordon and Richard Petty had... i kept saying that Richard PEtty had ZERO Nextel Cup wins and that JG didnt have as many Nextel as he does Winston... they should be listed by sponsor... not just lumped into one... and the Busch will be the Busch to me... i think the NNS sounds dumb...

We are watching the Nascar morning right now. Great to see them interview all of the old champs like Junior Johnson. Hubby is telling me stories about them at the same time. He has met most of them guys during his racing years. One of our twins is playing cards with him right now and basically throwing the cards around for him to get them

Junior Johnson, now there is NASCAR roalty. He admits that he was a moonshiner, plus with his drawl. Yep that is true the true roots of NASCAR.
That is great how your daighter has learned, I can throw these cards around and daddy will pick them up.
He is a fun toy.

What I loved the most on being at the pit area was when our crew chief would say *green, green, green*. Hubby had a radio set put aside for me always with my name on it and all. Little things like that made me feel special and part of the *gang*. I can't believe that last year I didn't go to a single race and the year before only 1 race. Best year I went to 19 races, had a Nascar license and just enjoyed the heck out of being at the garage area.
Here they come to the green flag!

I love being at the race and having a scanner. Just to hear the behind the scenes stuff.
Now this is a RACE!! I do not like when they ride around in one pack and can't do any moves because they will go to the back. I am enjoying this one, well if Kyle were not in front ir would be better.

Well I hope the second half is better than the first. This is kind of boring. At least I made the call on Petty....currently 41st

I've been re-arranging the rock work in the tank, done our monthly super clean and hubby has been installing the RO unit in the laundry room. Booooring race!

Haaaa poor Tony, he almost had his win. Newman made a good move when he had to. Too many freakin' cautions at the end there =/
