DAYTONA 500...predictions?

Jr. won the first duel race, Kenny Wallace and Brian Vickers raced their way into the big show on Sunday. I just got home not too long ago from taking my daughter to gymnastics, so I didn't see the whole race.

and its Bob Costas BTW... i really cant stand him either... he and Collinsworth are the reason i stopped watching Inside the NFL...

While I cannot stand Bob Costas, he does not announce NASCAR. That is one think I could not understand about the movie CARS. Why did they have Bob Costas in that movie.
But then being the old fart that I am, I liked it when NASCAR was on cable and it was a bunch of good ole boys just talking about the race.
I can't find if AJ made it. I hope he did, although it did not look good in the early going.

I can see how DW would be annoying. But no more than terry bradshaw. And besides he reminds me of my family. So it is all good. I seriously turn off bob. If he is annoucing something i'm watching, I turn it off. It is always about him, it isn't about the sport. It is about him trying to sound so deep so profound so smart. He isn't passionate about the sport, alot of times he isn't even a fan. He doesn't know it makes him look like an ----.

Too bad AJ didn't make it :( He was so down afterwards. At least one of our team guys made it, Brian Vickers.
Way to go Denny! He is someone to watch on Sunday :)

Fox (and it's Speed TV subordinate, still bitter about the take over, but that's another day's decision) wouldn't be sooooo bad if they had a production staff that actually went to some type of college. They have more goof-ups and glitches then I've seen on all the other networks combine. Did anyone else see the prerace where the camera was on the fritz? Yea, let's just leave the camera on air for 2 mins praying it gets better. Wow.....

Didn't see pre...but I did watch SpeedNetworks post-race show. It was a joke. But it was all I could find to get caught up.
Feel sorry for AJ (Spiderwoman...does this mean hubby's on his way home?)
Go JR....but I would still trade both of these wins for a win in the big dance. Really looking forward to it

I'm doing a little dance here right now :) Yep, he will be home sometime during the early hours of the night. It's 485 miles from Daytona to Mooresville and usually it takes about 6.5-7h. He didn't get out until 7:30pm so we'll see if he needs to make a stop first or if he'll drive through. This is so nice, he'll be home almost 4 days instead of just turning around under 24 hours. Who knows, maybe we'll have enough time to get our 135g tank this weekend

Good for you...I guess he gets paid whether they win/lose/qualify or not. He still had to drive for them. I'll be pulling for him in the upcoming races
