We as a society more often than not see things through rose colored glasses. We look at things very differently from one another and how we will react to them. This story seems like something you would see on the News, that you would read about in the paper, or hear from a friend who has heard it from another. You are not hearing this story from any of those other entities you are reading it first hand, you might have even contributed to it in some little way or as others have on this forum have contributed to in a large way. This is a Story that has personally touched my heart and the hearts of many others on this forum. Something that had started as just a thoughtful, unselfish, kind thing by one person has grown into something that has brought many together to accomplish a goal for another. Sounds like something you would see on TV doesn’t it? Well its not on TV its happening right here on this forum. I stated before that it truly amazes me that there are still people in this world that are unselfish, kind, and willing to go that extra mile for another. This project was to its completion, all was built, tested, hours spent by many to make sure that it happened for this one very special person that was to receive this gift. The words of the person that this project idea came from,
“ Usually I'm a little harsh, rude, short tempered, but something about Flower made me
stop and say I wanna do this. Not everyone has the time or resources but when you
think about it we can all contribute something to someone at some time or another....
It's selfish to keep talent, or skills all to yourself. We are suppose to share our
fortunes with others when possible.”
When I read those words I honestly got goose bumps. People may come into our lives only for a moment, a day, a year, or even a lifetime, but when a person makes you sit back, think, reassess yourself and your way of thinking, then they are a special person. The goal had been reached, it had been accomplished, everything packed up and sent. Well, in a matter of just 3 days, yes you are reading that right, it was all taken away, smashed, and broken. The end result taken away. All the anticipation, the hopes, the joy, the satisfaction blotted out by some people that it meant nothing to. The people who were entrusted in shipping this gift had no regard or idea of the magnitude of how much this gift meant to many, and the joy, happiness, and worth that it meant to this one person who was to receive it. Now because of the uncaring attitude of the people who were shipping this gift all of that is gone, taken away, stripped away from the many that it meant so much too.
You may think that this dream of providing this gift to this one special person is gone, but it is not, many on here want to see this project completed, the joy, the happiness, the satisfaction, restored. There is only one problem, the one person that had brought this idea to light, has already dedicated so much to this project, with time, materials, money, and effort, that they need some help. The money that was spent on this project is now gone, yes they have filed a claim with the shipping company, but who knows how long it will take to get this money back. I told this person that I would draft this post to see how many of you there are that are willing to really truly help make this project happen. To make sure that all the things that were taken are restored. Do you want to make this very special person get this gift that they were so looking forward to? If you are one who is truly committed to seeing this project happened and want to help make this dream for this person come true and help one of our own, Contact Shawn (acrylic51). We are not asking for you to donate a lot, because every little bit helps. I know that I am willing myself to Donate to this project and I have told Shawn what I am willing to contribute. No one has to know what you contributed to this except Shawn and you. Let us all come together again and make sure that this Special Person “FLOWER”, gets the gift that so many want her to have.
I would like to thank all of you that are willing to help make this project happen.
Scott, very well put, I wish I could write like that, I can only draw and try to build things. LOL
