No the water is coming from the DT when it gets too full from the return pump pumping water into it...The overflow is either not strong enough or not working properly..Any idea what I can do besides cry?

Don't cry...LOL....sounds like your siphon is not starting......Have you watched the video on the cpr overflow and how to get it started???
You have to get the overflow running.....leave the return pump off intul you get the water flowing thru the overflow tubes....then turn it on

I'm too upset..speak regular English..I watched the video..you turn on the pump and it does it's thing at least on the video. What is an overflow tube? This thing has no tubes..tube I know and love from my caniter filters
It has a lip, one in the tank and another in that larger container on the outside... filled it up like the paper said. I put one end f the air tube on the check valve and the other air tube, from the check valve to the inside the tank like it said to do. Do I have to suck on this thing?

Flower sorry couldn't answer!!!! Did you try filling the overflow box first, and priming it and making sure it is siphoning, and then try firing the truth pump? Is there an adjustment to turn the return pump down till the overflow is primed, and then turn it up?

I was gonna suggest checking hte tubes out of the lifter. Sorry I slept in and couldnt help when needed.
My suggestion is to have the aqualifter and the return pump and the skimmer pump all on the same surge protector. This way when you go to feed or maintain the tank, its 1 switch to turn all of it off. Then when maintenance is done, its one switch to turn it all back on.

Both chambers are equal, I haven't turned on the skimmer...I checkedfor leaks in the plumbing..I had to dry everything off to be able to tell. All looks good so far. So do I just plug it in or what do I do next? I have extra water still because the refugium sand isn't here yet I will haveto putwater in that chamber as well assume...

Flower sorry I went out for lunch, make sure your siphon is full like they said. Run your aqaulifter for a while to make sure all the bubbles are out of it - the line that comes out of the Aqua lifter you can put it into the inlet side (DT side) of the overful. You have to keep that full of water or else you will loose your siphon. It is just like when you are siphoning water out of your tank when you pull the hose out of the water the siphon breaks. Make sure you can shut off your return pump really fast until you get things going. You can do it, just relax nothing is going to happen to your fish they still have water.
