Giant Puffer with 1000 gal tank

All I have to say is that I would never stick my fish in a small tank. Unless once they get big, I can have the heart to give them away to a bigger home. That is how my entire 1000 started. My wife could not see having him for a year or 2 then just give him up. These fish are like my dogs. I put time, money, engery, and love into them every day. I want them to lead a long and happy life. If you want to put them in a little unhappy tank, then be my guest. You have every right to do what you want with them. I would just not do that to my fish.
Just my 2 cents!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for side tracking your thread...
Looking forward to seeing your upcoming tank. Are you building it yourself? If so, I would love photos of it's progression.

Ask any Zoo keeper, professional aquarist, etc. They will tell you they would love to release the whales back into the ocean. actions speak louder than words

And yet... as I said they CAN'T... zoos and aquariums provide a neccessary evil... re-read what i posted. I'm not going to waste the effort to try to educate the unwilling anymore.

you are kidding? Please? You haven't proved anything except that you are young and unwilling to listen.

Ok, let's try this another way...
Say all the Killer Whales were released right now. What would happen to them? Their species?
Many of the whales, born in captivity or orphaned, would die within months at sea. The species would too die out, as education waned and people quit caring...

Actually, Darwin's theory calls for the expansion of species, not the extinction of them.
And whether you believe in evolution or Intelligent Design, neither way should you accept the death of a species needlessly.

You called me a moron like 3 posts ago..

And, you said "some have to die..." as we were talking about a species, that implies extinction.
Never once did I mention apes...
