I think they should have an option of buying back in, or not. Assuming they kill $60 of zoas. The person kills his zoas, so he pays for the zoas he lost as if we never purchased them, then he gets his share. Seems fair. If it is not negligence they shouldn't be screwed out of their frags.
I agree that they should have to buyback in but I don't think we should hold someone responsible if the zoa never opens and doesn't make it if it couldn't handle being fragged and shipped. THats why I say we need to keep this thread going and post pictures on a weekly basis so everyone can see how the frags are doing.
By the way Alexmir my Volcanics are starting to open

4. No one will be held liable for frag death due to unforseen circumstances.
5. Grower negligence would result in a credit back to the rest of us or forfeiture of the other frags.

I have seen good reports as well as bad reports on ZoaFrag. Ordered three frags a few weeks ago and all are doing fine. Even sent me a bonus RPPE. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I just checked this thread out for the first time and may not even know what is going on but I kind of got the impression that you all are getting in on zoas, letting someone grow them out...and holding the grower responsible for any that are loss in his/her care?
If that were the case I certainly wouldn't want to be one of the growers for this group deal if I was in the area and in the group buy.
Who here has never lost a coral? And to make the grower responsible for any loss while in his/her care?
I hope I have misread and don't know what I am talking about. Would be spooky being a grower under those conditions. There are way too many variables, acts of God, the power company, only to mention a few that could do in an entire system, hopefully we take precautions against that, but things happen.
Wish I could tell my financial rep at Edward jones that he can invest my cash here and there, but if I take any losses he is responsible.

It is my understanding that you're only going to be out of luck if you just don't take care of your tank.

Awesome to hear the the volcanics opened up!!! I have read bad reports, but have also read good reports( like coraljunkies) where everything went great! So i am hoping and praying tha t we dont have any problems, if we do, i will do everything i can to fix it.

flric. We all went in together, bought 12 zoas, and each of us will be growing 2 each(i will have 4 since i bought two places). I agree with you though, having one person growing 12 zoas would be ridiculous, not to mention the person would be devastated if they all died in their tank(i would feel like poo poo!!)
If they all come in healthy, i dont see there being any problems at all. Cant wait to get them in, really looking forward to it!!

Ahhh! That is good to hear. Not the part about you feeling like poo poo, but about each taking part in the grow out.

hahaha, dont worry, theres NO WAY i would let myself be put in that situation, way too much stress worrying about killing that many beautiful zoas!!

I was curious, how often do you feed your zoos mike, you seem to get really good growth out of your guys

im planning on blending up fresh shrimp, scallop, mysis shrimp and quality pellet food into a smoothie, then freezing it . I've done this before, and it seems to work well. Anyone else got any good suggestions on food?
