Congratulations! They are so beautiful, that second picture really shows some detail. How big are they? The ones I got originally were 2 inches, I sure miss those little guys...they had so much personality.

Thanks everyone!!! They are pretty funny to watch eating. I can sometimes hear my female snick her food. They are eating great. I'm doing several small meals a day. They are exploring the tank a bit, but the horses don't stray too far from one another.
Flower, they are about 3-4 inches.

3 or 4 inches!...wow little giants compared to the critters I got. Wonderful, if they eat they will live, that's the measuring stick I judge all seahorse health by....LOL
Horses are pretty sociable, all four of mine clustered together, the Kuda horses do as well. Wait till the male starts making funny faces at the female...I love when they do that.

My male is an antisocial SOB. He just sits down under Kenya tree and thinks about life all day, then comes up to eat only after all the girls have finished. Thankfully the two younger girls are really active, and they tend to draw the older girl out more often as well.
I got me some kinda moody emo male seahorse, though.

I had three males and one female, just the opposite of what you have. He is outnumbered...all the girls want a piece of him. Maybe he too tired to come out from under his tree. LOL...I had to sift thru all my SH pictures to find it, but I had to share these, where all three males are leering, making the funny face at my one little female, as she cringes in the center.

LOL Flower! If that's the case with mine, then IMO it's a GOOD thing....I don't need no stinkin' babies right now.
Gemmy, you're slacking. FOUR measly pictures? Don't you know the new-seahorse code? It's like new parents with their baby pics....except we actually WANT to see the seahorse pictures!

My Kuda seahorses had a ton of babies floating this morning (first batch)...I scooped them up in a net and dumped them into the reef for fish food...they must not taste very good, the fish would get one and spit it out...the blue reef chromis ate some. The filter cleaned the rest out of both tanks. Poor babies...but I can't raise them.

Sadly, I've had to do this too. As horrific as it sounds, I'd say it's no more terrible than freezing and flushing them. I fed a batch or two H. reidi fry to my 110g back in the day. Koran angel and Maroon clown cleaned them up pretty quickly.
If the H. erectus ever have fry, I will consider the task but.....there's no way in hades that it is do-able until the house is more in order.
Hey Gemmy I have a question: is that Anthellia I see in your tank? On a clam shell??

Why yes it is. I got it from a friend as two polyps in September and it has spread all over the clam shell.
I will keep updating the thread with pics. My male loves the ugly, blue plant.

I got some from Theresa, so I superglued it to the back of my tank wall. It's just now starting to spread out a little. Interesting stuff.
