My kids were Bottle fed and my wife is the one that works so I was the one that got up with them. I can tell you this you have not seen tired as when it is 2 am your making a bottle 1 eye open and then feeding the kid changing her then going back to bed and have the wife ask you take care of her and go Yep all in your sleep. Also skip the CHEAP BOTTLES and ONLY BUY DR BROWNS IF YOU WANT TO AVOID COLIC AND EVER SLEEP AT NIGHT. Sorry but I tried the Playtex ones and got hammered and made a VERY QUICK RUN TO WALMART to get a set of Dr Browns in the middle of the night to get some SLEEP at the kids age of 6 months.

Thanks bubble.
I don't know, my wife and I never really rebelled against our parents. I Think it is really all in how you are raised.

It's actually easier with a newborn than it will be in a few months. Wait till she starts rolling around and doesn't stay where you put her!

Man is that the truth....we spend their whole child hood wishing they would walk, talk...etc......and once they hit teenage years we are ready to jump off a cliff....LOL.....all mine are grown and out of the house.....I have grandchildren now...and I will tell you this.....IT NEVER gets easier

Seth, congrats on your new bundle. But I have to admit when I saw the pic of the proud papa with his little girl, I thought....."You mean he doesn't look like The Dude?!?!?"
So. Get started on the new baby tank yet?
Wife and I are talking about having our first, and I about dropped a brick when she mentioned how it might be nice to do an "Under the Sea" theme complete with an aquarium in the baby room.

Lol. Before it was the dude, I had quagmire from family guy as my avatar. Don't know why people assume I have long hair and look 40! Lol
I don't have a room for Emma yet. I'll be moving into a rent house by September more than likely. Maybe then she can have a marine themed room to herself

You're probably getting a TON of advice from people, but if you're up for a little more, try like hell NOT to let the baby sleep in your bed with you and your wife. Once she gets used to it, its VERY hard to get her out! We didn't do it with my twins but we have some friends that did and their daughter is now 4 and its next to impossible for them to get her to sleep in her own bed.

The Little Mermaid would be perfect. They make little lamps, nightlights and all kinds of little girl things with that theme. My Granddaughters love her.

Who said you don't look 40?!?!?! LOL. (The new baby pic added about 15+ years) J/K
Congrats on the new daughter. They are the best!! Don't let everyone freak you out. It gets much easier and you get way more comfortable. They are right, the next few months are pretty easy. They eat, sleep, poop, then repeat. Remember if it was really that hard the population would be declining not increasing. You are going to do great.

I agree. I'm not looking forward to the kids shows. I think I'm going to limit tv to one hour a day.
I practically grew up in front of the tv. My mom used it as a babysitter in the room. I don't think I want to do that to my child. Books, music, art, plays, outdoor fun, gardening etc. is what I want my kid growing up with.

Some of the shows arent all that bad. If you have the Sprout channel, there is some good programming. I just cant stand Dora and most of what's on the Disney channel is complete crap.
