now this is funny.mrs mantis decided to move on up in square footage.she has moved the rocks she had in front of the sand burrow to her 3 inch pvc pipe.
i just fed her a krill on a feeder stick .yea she was thumping it to get it off.she is more entertaining than all my other stuff put together.

actually i dont think fish are on their regular menu
I was thinking that myself as many peeps say they have kept damsels with their mantis. Although, Cranberry said that after 2 years, her mantis ate her damsel.
Maybe they just wait for them to fatten up! :D

I had considered asking what the shipping would be to take the little devil off your hands, but the Mantis tank I am setting up is only a 20g long! Do you think he would work in there?? What if after all the effort you put into him, he became food??
Would you want a video?? lol

No, I wouldn't want to see it either. I am considering adding a damsel, but I'm sure the shipping would cost too much anyway. Too bad you are so far away!

After Lola had the crab wedged in the opening of her burrow for a while she started depositing parts of the shell out the other side (front of the tank). The next morning she deposited the main part.

dont look like i am going to figure out how to post pics any time soon with this crappy newset up.but my mantis has her 3 inch pvc all done up nice now.she was even going out and scooping a sand carpet for inside.she has abandoned her sand burrow for the pvc now.she has stacked rocks so high in the back so she cant see her reflection now.but, she does still go upside down at the top of the pvc and smacks it alot.seems she wants to open it more?it is really amazing how efficient she does things .maybe i should pay more attention to her and i could run my construction company more efficient?
