Bronco,
I do not think you will ever regret taking the additional time and effort to stay with your plan and "Dream" of having the wave-maker. My feeling is the build is the best part and that is because you see your concept become reality. If you bail on the wave-maker you will get this installed and always wonder how it could have been, or never actually get around to getting it going. Don't let all of us guppies apply the heat to get er' going. Take your time and stay with your plan and the result will be even sweeter! I was very nervous when you were adding water so I am glad "WE" are over that hurdle!
Keep up the great work,
WW

Thanks WW...this weekend I had decided I really want to finish it...it's still a while till the hole gets into the wall and all the electricity ran..my dad is going to help with the hole and they are coming labor day weekend so thats when the hole will get put in and electricity ran. If i can't get it to work, i can always add another in the tank if I for some reason can't get it..but either way i'll get one in there I think.

Lol been following this thread since i joined here and this is the first time i posted in it. Looks good, about time you water tested it. Lol leave the halide on long enough and im sure it will raise the temp up to a comfortable level

Looking great Bronco. I was going to ask what the little glass tabs(the black half circles) were for, but can see now it's just so that the glass doesn't smush out all the silicone lol.

Man! Looks awesome! I bet filling this thing had you nervous!
How are you going to trim out that extra silicone? with a razor blade?

i really wasn't that nervous...i was pretty confident in the seal, only worry for me was that it was strong enough on the very top, but its more than enough it seems....as for the silicone, yes...i'll be using a razor..you can see in the least picture on the bottom right i've already started.

Nice... I was waiting for water even if its just test water. Can you refresh my memory of the tanks volume and proposed sump volume?
