Sure - you could paint it orange or green.., lol, whatever suits your fancy! I liked the flat white look myself... An off white / sand color would look perfect...
Make sure you use some painters tape when you paint it all...

Oh, I just assumed a template came with each kit LOL. It would make it easier. Goes to show ya I have never done this before. I will have everything set up to do this tomorrow. I am tempted to do it myself!!

A template for what, the hole? I just used the gasket on the bulkhead as my template. Trace the inside of the gasket on the glass.

HHEEEEYYY!!! LOL. I have everything ready for him tonight. All stuff if marked, and the overflow template is taped down.

Well, the drilling is done!! Did we crack it? NOPE!!! The template for the overflow was bigger than the drill bit which caused the bit to jump around at first, so we have a couple extra grooves in one spot, but it is fine. Not bad for drilling a tank for the first time. I placed the return rather close I know, but the opening under the tank is small..wanted it to be lined up.. PIC..

Or were you just wanting me to crack it???
Anyways, I am not putting it all together yet, I will paint the back and bottom either tomorrow or saturday.

lol. I know you're not putting it together yet, but have you fit the overflow on it with the return line and made sure there's enough room for the box to fit?

LOL. I didn't put the locline on it. But it seems to be fine. I had the overflow box on it when I decided on a place to drill the return.
