Interesting thread, thought I'd chime in. I voted that I would like to see it become legalized for a few reasons. First, the tax revenue that'd be generated would be huge and could potentially help generate new programs and go to other areas. Second, it'd be regulated and you wouldn't have to worry about it being laced with other drugs and the amount of TCH could possilby be set (not sure about that).
Also, I don't think that it is a gateway drug and I don't think it's any worse then alcohol. Granted, I have only smoked pot a few times in my life because I don't like how it makes me feel (alcohol gives me a better buzz) but I do have friends who are doctors, lawyers and business owners who do smoke it often and it has no ill effect on their personal or professional lives.
