OK here are the subdividing of the musroom shot, I had a shroom that was attaching to sand so I used that instead of cutting one free first.
All I do is take the shroom and aggrivate it so its as deflated as I can get it then I line up a VERY sharp knife or razor (or similar cutting utensil) I try to make my cuts so they intersect the mouth for the fastest heal time, if the shrrom has a portion of the mouth it reduces the new tissue it has to generate for the complete recovery. I cut it up into pie sections as shown in the picture. then I drop it into my container with sand to let the pieces recover over the next few weeks and attach to the sand as well. Nothing fancy.
the rest of the pics are on the next page.

previously you said to glue paly's to the rock. i did this two weeks ago, and today i noticed they are moving, and the glue is still there. assuming they rid themselves of the dead cells, what do i do to get them to stay?
they have a big center ball and about 7 stalks coming off of it.

Ususally when I glue them I'm glueing to part that was already attached to rock so its the cells that are already designed to be smothered. you can try rubberbanding them in place untill they extend flesh and take hold on their own. dont worry about the ones on bottom they will extend around the base to get light.

also reason #732 to wear gloves when fragging, I coulda' been cutting my fingers apart with a razor instead, I just changes my glove.
Did not see how you so the Kenya Tree coral. What part do you cut?

You can cut them anywhere (really) I usually take off a single branch leaving about a half inch sticking off the trunk so the branch grows back in the same place. Ive forcefully ripped them off things to try and eliminate them from growing there, and the darn things come back. I have one On the side of my clam I have ripped off twice. there really is no wrong place to cut them. If you want the coral to get bushier cut the top leading tip off and it will branch more (just like a fruit tree) I always cut at least 1/2 inch below any polyps. but its not necessary.

I used this to frag my eagle eye zoos... I have no pics of the before and after because I don't have my camera, and its hard enough to hop around on one foot b/c the other ankle is sprained.
I had to remove the zoos from a large rock in the tank, which means i did the butter knife method to remove it. One of the heads excreted some ooz. I had gloves on but I'm worried about the fish. I already glued the zoos to another rock (branch) and they are back in the tank.
Can the toxin affect my fish? Its been 20 minutes now, and I don't see any differences in their behavior.

Did you rinse them in tank water before replacing them in the tank?
Even if you didnt that little bit in your tank shouldnt be a worry, occasionally some of my smaller pieces attach to my base rock and I have to cut them in my tank, I just put some fresh carbon in and dont sweat it. You shouldnt worry. sorry I didnt see your post sooner.

well you can let them get old enough and they will develop babies on their own (once they start they keep on doing it, or you can cut them in half or quarters with a tile saw or jewlers blade.

Could you essentially cut them into certain shapes and designs and they will be fine?
